RE: A Quick @spinvest-leo update

Another idea could be to take a percentage of the STEEMP paid for SPI tokens and convert them immediately to LEO.

This would save the 1% fee given given to Steem Engine since the currency stays on the platform.

Maybe like 5% of the STEEMP converted to LEO..something like that.

Would help it holding grow quicker while also helping out that platform since it is a supporter of SPInvest.

One hand washing the other.

I like that idea, but it'd probably need a vote. @silverstackeruk, what do you think? Diversifies the assets, multiple token flow, reduces reliance on delegation, but a small deviation from the original plan over powering up all STEEM from token sales.

Thanks for the suggestion, will tag on discord for more opinions.

@taskmaster4450, @jk6276, it's an interesting idea and I'd like to see a proposal with some forecasts comparing investing in steemleo or moving steemp out of steem-engine into leasing, and what we know about steemleo and where it's going. Have we got any sense of projections about future earnings with steemleo? What value/volume of SPI tokens are being bought through steem-engine?

Guys, all monies from SPI token sales has to be powered up. That's how we back the token

What about using STEEM from the @spinvest saving wallet instead? as it's an investment.

@shanibeer - Token sales on the exchange are feast are famine

Yeah, using equivalent monies from the savings wallet could wotk.
Still want to see a proposal, though.

@shanibeer, @taskmaster4450, @spinvest.

My original idea was to just build this up steadily from 0 without really asking for any funds, beyong the spinvest leo earnings, and whatever delegations people offer.

I think we should run a few weeks as is, and assess the potential earnings from the results. I'm more keen for @spinvest's earnings to go to off-steem assets personally, but if there is a groundswell of requests to upgrade the @spinvest-leo account with extra investments, I'll look at putting together a proposal for consideration.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback, always delighted to kick around ideas and suggestions.

Totally agree. Stick to the original idea. We shouldn't be investing in tribes. Else we should be investing in pal. Better still sct as thats holding better than these 2 put together.

Best Plan!

I only want to mention one name here, and @silverstackerUK will know what I mean... STAX. If we start mingling funds from SPI into Spin.Leo it will create problems. I see only one or 2 minor problems with the Leo-side investment, and we can deal with those in the meetings. But for now, K.I.S.S. and work through this slowly.

SO FAR the only 2 problems I see are:

  1. No Payouts (or votes for deli-gators)
  2. What happens when this account is HUGE? (stax!)
No offense @jk6276 and I think you have a great start, your heart is in the right place. But these potential problems will doom the project if not tweaked early on.

Glad you like the plan. K.I.S.S. works for me. As for the potential issues, here are my thoughts:

  1. I didn't really expect alot of delegations to be honest - I promised no rewards beyond knowing you were helping the team out. I am happy to discuss options, and can set up something straightforward (autovotes for LEO content as discussed in discord). My plan for delegations was to use them for a short time to get the account off the ground, and then grow it self-sufficiently. My 5000 LEO delegation is in place till the end of the year, and I'll review after that. Problem 1 is a good problem to have, people want to help out, but this help comes with an opportunity cost (lost curation payouts).
  2. Another good problem. I haven't formulated the long term goals of the account yet. I would think grow for a while, stake everything, and then at a certain point, start selling some of the earned tokens each week to return STEEM profits back to @spinvest main account. Problem 2 would also be a good problem to have.

All thought, suggestions and feedback is welcome.

I will step up with heavy SteemLEO DELI once we get a path forward, or at least some steps that way. I see a great potential with the platform and it would be good to catch that wind for the SPInvest parent plan and the individuals as well. With the silvergoldbotty account (stax) similar issues were not addressed up front and there was a big rift later on. spin/LEO could actually achieve numbers good enough that it causes ownership issues, and I don't want to see that. It is YOUR Account and if we structure it properly there will be no questions. Plus, the option of DELI is "if you disagree, pull the DELI" as it always was. 👍

To reiterate, I think everyone has good intentions, I'm just pointing out potential problems in advance.
