Steem is steadily rising, time to power up

Are you ready?

So let me start this off by giving the whole stupid disclaimer by saying "This is not financial advice, blah blah blah. It is your choice to spend your money how you feel it is. If you buy stuff because someone tells you to and not doing any of your own research, you are kind of dumb."

So with that out of the way, last night I bought another 3k Steem and powered it up. Now, most people don't buy crypto as it is going up, they usually wait for it to go in the red because of the whole "buy the dip" rule, but there are some exceptions to those rules.

I used one crypto that was up quite a bit to purchase the Steem, and since the purchase, the Steem price has continued to go up. It was definitely a risky move buying on the way up, but with Steem you can always make your investment make you extra because of powering it up and curating with it. That is one thing that Steem has that most of the other cryptos don't have at the moment.

A lot of people here on the Steem blockchain don't realize that if you invest a bit of money into yourself, you will be able to make that investment work for you and your journey here on the platform will be a lot more fulfilling.

Not only will your account be able to grow faster, but your vote will be worth more, so you will be able to reward others for their content. Too many of the newcomers here on the platform seem to be thinking about their own rewards and forget the community sense of the platform and that they should be voting for others. I see too many people posting many times a day, self voting those posts and then self voting all of their own comments, and then complaining that they aren't getting curated by others.

Great things coming

We have some pretty awesome things coming in the next few months here. SMT testnet is running smooth. Communities are doing great. @steempeak is killing it with their development with communities and you can check out https://beta.steempeak.com/ to see all of the improvements they are making. There is a lot going on here to be excited about.

The curation team at @ocd is back from break and we are curating your awesome content on the platform. Use the #oc tag on your posts or you can join the OCD Community and post from our community and you don't need to use the tag. When you join the OCD Community, be sure to subscribe so that you can see all of the awesome posts that are being posted to the community.

With all of the great things coming to the blockchain, are you taking advantage of these prices before they are gone? I don't think we will see them again, so it is best to get them now before they are gone.

Do you have to post using Steempeak or the Beta Site to get the attention of @ocd? Or can I continue to post with eSteem and just use the #oc tag?

You don't have to. You can just use the #oc tag if you wish. For the time being, we are curating posts outside of the community and we have curators with interests that range from art to photography to writing, so just about all of the genres are covered.

It is good to see Steem on the upward move.
Been waiting and hoping for it to do so.

I see too many people posting many times a day, self voting those posts and then self voting all of their own comments, and then complaining that they aren't getting curated by others.

Too true. Anyone with a substantive vote sees that and just passes them by.

Well if you're intending to buy more you have to actually buy at some point - it gets silly trying to predict when the best buy time is.

Thankfully I bought a fair bit when it was down at 15 - 18, I have bought more now it's in the early 20s, but I'm quite happy with what I've got now.

Nice purchase, 3 + K!
