#MARKETFRIDAY IN ES CANAR , SPAIN , IBIZA
We are in Spain at the moment and having a great well deserved family holiday.
We always want to explore. Today we went to ES CANAR and they had a super cute market. That was a great opportunity for my #marketfriday blog, tag is by @dswigle that I always try to enter.

Es Canar (Spanish: Es Caná) is a beach resort village on the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza. The resort is in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. The resort is reached along the street called Cami d'Escana from Santa Eulària des Riu. With all the shops and lovely bars a sweet little village or suburb you don’t want to miss. The resort is 12.4 miles (20.0 km) north east of Ibiza Town and 16.9 miles (27.2 km) of Ibiza Airport.. But driving around by car it’s so much nicer to see all the party island has to offer. The resort is 3.4 miles (5.5 km) along the coast, east of Santa Eulària des Riu.
We had a light shrimp lunch and had ice cream to top off a great day. ( source Lonely planet app )
The market we did on the way back. I am not a first timer Ibiza tourist and I have to say my best and most original jewellery comes from here. Cheap bracelets but also silver ones, and earrings. Today I bought another leather coinsadle bag, I collect them and they are timeless.
Ibiza is known for crafts. A lot of the things you can by in the markets but also the whole island is handmade.
Ibiza is wellknow for it’s white linen. Clothes I buy at the Hippy market that’s for next weeks market Friday blog. Can’t do without clothes.
This is the bag. It’s with coins and made of leather. I choose after long doubting between black and brown, The little brown one.

Now we off to the room to shower and nap and than off to dinner, Ibiza I fell in love years ago and still am in love.

I am green with envy. Many moons ago I spent some time in Mallorca and had a great time. Ibiza looks similar. The guy who owned the hotel where I stayed taught us how to pour wine down the bridge of our noses and into our mouths. Apparently, a local tradition. He did it without spilling a drop. I did not. :-)

Hihi well I have to go and ask about that tradition !!! It’s prefect here and very similar to all the Balearic Islands and the weather good and people are great ! I am fortunate

The guy even had a mustache and beard. Still, not a spilled drop. :-) As I recall, the wine container resembled a teapot ... or something similar.
There was also a nude beach. I'd never been to a nude beach before so I was quite "interested" in exploring that part of the island. My explorations didn't last long, though, for strolling about was a group of middle-aged, and substantially overweight, German women. And, they were eyeing me like wolves eye a lamb.
I skadoodled out of there as if I were competing for gold in the Olympics.

This is it, and I never tried it but it’s a tradition here.
I did try HIERBAS the local spirit drink , and it’s heavy. It’s small like a shot. I will blog about it this week. And we are visiting a winery for the occasion too. I love the craftsmanship and it’s the only one in the island.

All hand made or tie dyed by locals. It’s very nice. And not expensive at all
Thank you so much for being part of #MarketFriday. It is such a joy to read through your post, knowing very well how much time and thought goes into making one. I enjoy reading them all and sometimes I get a little behind. This week in particular, I had issues along with everyone else and things kind of went sideways. But, hey!! Where is the fun of life if there isn’t a challenge, right?
To be fair, it was a week of too much work and not enough time when steem finally righted itself. So, I am here late and apologize. This doesn’t mean your post wasn’t awesome! You know it was!
I am a little unsure how voting on comments is going to be, but, it is looking dismal and most of them will be worthless. I voted nonetheless, but, not sure how it all comes out in the wash. So this week, I will be giving a bigger tip to you to make up for that. I need to sit down and figure out what they have done to the system as your post is worthy and they have just made it harder to reward you.
