This is a lot of hearsay post and nothing more. It is what I see jumping out at me when I hear all the latest things being said about the new tag system or "community tags".

Now I might be reading into all of this wrong and one thing has nothing to do with the other. In previous discussions I heard, it was stated quite a few times that the two things were not the same.

A number of people are trying out the SMT test net for SMT's. Many of the same have also created communities. Pretty much the same thing as the Steem Engine but based on the Steemit platform instead of externally.

Many new communities will have their new SMT linked to the new community they formed. As the SMT is not live right now, making account for those new communities will remove the opportunity to create a community to that account in some circumstances. (Highest risk is through the sniping of account names.) Or more precisely Sniping of SMT token names.

You will see in time that the majority of those Hive-NumberHere account will move to other named accounts that will be linked to a community name.

This will not be a category tag as such, but the name of a group that might be part of a wider group. There may end up being 10 photography or 10 writing groups all with a different community title or token that they use to promote their community. They will all come under the Photography tag.

As an example it should work like.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Happy Pictures
Daily Hue's
Wildlife Photography
Macro Photography

and the list goes on for each genre of photography. Each of those groups will have the ability to have a SMT run along side the community. The goal being to get people to want to earn that token or find a method to have token hold value to those it aims to attract.

So while the SMT and all The Hive-NumberHere tags are two different things. They are both interlinked together. The progress forward has been thought out to include the integration of the new SMT and new communities tags. One has nothing to do with the other turns out to be complete nonsense.

On appearance it seems they are both reliant on each other.

Once the SMT's go live you will not see so may Hive-number tags.
