Why Am I Still Here? / by syllem

Steemit was my first contact with the Blockchain world of cryptomontages and my first experience as a blogger, that makes it
special to me. Although there are many other options, I already feel part of Steem, so I decide that my time and effort dedicated to the virtual world, I dedicate it to share with those who make life here. I don't usually publish on other social networks, only on specific occasions, because I try to live offline as much as possible.

I've told you before, at the beginning, I registered driven by the enthusiasm of some colleagues, when the Steem had a very attractive value. However, when I started to publish, the steem was already dropping abruptly, so I saw it as something new, it was useful to try to understand and get into that world so strange to me as blogs and cryptomonies were. I didn't really suffer from the fact that the price of steem was falling because I still didn't understand much about what I was missing out on. So I just dedicated myself to learning, with the support of communities and people, who are the soul of this universe.

Over time I managed to reach my goal of getting my posts up from 0 and my motivation changed. I discovered that interacting with people, sharing enriching readings and comments satisfies me; and I have even met very nice people in the different Meetups. Also, I have seen in the Steem platform, a way to stay in time for my affections. All this has been truly significant for me, giving it a deeper and more lasting connotation. And as a bonus, I've been able to change some steems on occasion to enjoy them with my kids.

I also like the fact that it shares original content and the level of demand, as it allows us to strive to be better. As I said, I am not a friend of conventional social networks saturated with empty content. On the other hand, the fact that our blog is recorded in a Blockchain is invaluable; it means that it is permanent and unbreakable and, as if that weren't enough, it has the advantage of monetizing.

To be honest, I have the illusion that Steemit is a massively used platform, like Facebook or Instagram, and consequently the value of its token rises to the stratosphere, so that each user feels rewarded for the time, which by its own decision, it invests in creating content. No doubt traditional networks, which do not give any incentive, would end up adapting or dying.

Thank you all for your reading and @theycallmedan for promoting this initiative so that we can share our reasons for staying at Steemit. Here is the link to your invitation for more information.

All images used are own. The separators were made from a photograph of my own, edited in powerpoint; while the photographs shown were decorated with the image editing application InShot, downloaded from Play Store. I am not very good with English, however I supported myself with the help of the Google translator.

Steemit is definitely a way to enjoy reading and in addition you have the joy of receiving feedback on your writing that although the amount in money is not significant if it is the fact that others enjoy what you write. Kisses love
