Why Am I Still Here? Two Years on Steem Blockchain. How Steem Gives Me Jobs to Survive

I have known Steem blockchain for 2 years, but only a full year starting in March 2019 I fully made money from Steem to meet my needs. So I consider that as work.

Not feel the time quickly passed and now my Steem account is two years old.

In March 2019 at that time my mother asked me to go back to the village, leaving my job in the big city because my mother wanted me to be near her and she was getting older.

At that time I worked in Jakarta as a social media manager via a consulting company and handling a client, a state-owned company PT Pertamina Persero.

In the end, what had to happen did happen. My father passed away and finally I had to go home. I have to give up my job in Jakarta.

Steem Makes Money for Me

I was looking for work in the field of social media in my city, around the city of Binjai and Medan. Then there was a company in Medan City offering me to handle their social media accounts. But unfortunately, the distance is too far from my house, and later my salary will be used up for travel expenses.

I was really panicked at that time. However I have to be able to get money to meet the needs of my life and my mother.

At the first, I never thought that I would live from Steem, especially with a low Steem price. But while waiting for another job call, I continue to actively create a blog on Steem with various applications.

I focus on food content and also I am the curator of various projects such as @Ntopaz, @Tasteem, @Curangel to get additional Steem.

Now I am very grateful to the Steem community for helping me give 'new life' and teach me many things.

Every month I routinely withdraw Steem around 100 USD for my life and my mother in the village. That is enough for us.

Steem Takes Me to My New Job

Steem is the easiest blockchain for beginners to learn about cryptocurrency. Because of that, I got a new job as a content writer for a crypto exchange platform in Indonesia.

Not only that, the consistency of making food content in Steem made me also get a job in the field of content writer specifically for food and cuisine.

The best thing again, I can do it all via Remotely without having to go to the office! What a shocking life!

Steem: Big Community, Big Impact to My Life

But in the end it's not about the money that keeps me here. Because if it's about money, surely I won't be here anymore because I've already gotten a job in 'real' life.

- I am still here because Steem has made my life out of my comfort zone, and has made me familiar with the blockchain and cryptocurrency that are useful for getting a lot of works now!

- I get lots of new friends who are nice to me!

- I can also stay connected with Steem through several platforms outside the blockchain such as wordpress which is then connected to @Steempress-io.

- Then, I can upload my cooking tutorial video on Youtube which I then connect to @dtube.

- I find it is not difficult to contribute in Steem to get rewards because there are so many ways to do it!
