(Edited)

This SteemHunt newbie contest is especially for the gaming community of Steemit, however, anyone can participate in it.

SteemHunt is a ProductHunt-like platform built on Steem blockchain that rewards the hunters/  users for finding and writing about cool products on Steemhunt platform.

CONTEST

The task

Find a game and write about it briefly, in maximum 1000 characters and post it through SteemHunt platform.

Where to find games?

There are 4 main sources from where you can find games:

  1. Steam
  2. SteamSpy
  3. Google Play
  4. App Store

Who are eligible?

You can participate in this contest if you meet the following conditions:

  1. Your Steemit reputation score should be 30 or above.
  2. You should have verified Steemit account which means that either you have published your Introduction post or have any of your social media links added in your Steemit profile, or any other way that shows the account you are posting from is your real account. This is to prevent abuse.
  3. You should not have hunted more than 20 products. Those with no hunt history will be preferred.

How to enter?

  1. Login to SteemHunt or register an account if you are not a member yet.
  2. Read these 7 posting guidelines before starting writing.
  3. Find a game from the above-mentioned sources and write about it briefly. Please note that you can only use the official link of the game as your product link and not a link from google play, app store or steam. According to the posting guideline # 7:  "There are countless games worldwide, and many of them have narrow target customers. If we accept all new games in Steemhunt, our ranking board may be dominated by games. So, Steemhunt will ONLY accept games that have their own website. Please note if you use any app store or game platform (e.g. Steam) URL on the game product link, your hunt will be delisted."
  4. (OPTIONAL). Read this article about how to become a smart hunter. It has some explanations about the posting guidelines that will help newbies to get started.
  5. After you publish your hunt, drop the URL in the comments section below. Also, drop a link to any of your social media accounts OR a link to your Introduction post on Steemit. Follow this format : (i) Hunt URL (ii) URL of Social media account or Introduction post on Steemit.

Hunt will be judged on the basis of:

  1. Image quality
  2. Writing style
  3. If the copied text is cited and all the guidelines are followed

The reward

  • 1st place - 30 Steem
  • 2nd place - 25 Steem
  • 3rd place - 20 Steem
  • 4th, 5th, 6th place - 15 Steem each
  • 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th place - 10 Steem each

I have a game in mind to do the review, but I have a question regarding the website of the game.

The game I want to review to participate in the contest, has a website shared with other games, ie, the developer of the video game, has a website where are published all the games he has developed, including the game I want to review, is it allowed to place that game or does it have to be an exclusive website of that game?

It is fine if that website has other games, but the game that you want to review should have it's own page within that website.

Can I place a link from another hunt that I did, even if it is going to be considered a single entry?

I saw you already placed your link, but if you want to hunt another game and want that to be included in the contest, then you can edit your previous comment and drop your desired URL; or you can just let me know which hunt you prefer to be included in the contest.

I can't figure out how to use steemhunt. Most apps just ask for posting key.
Steemhunt won't let me post and the permission is hidden somewhere. Not newbie friendly.

I found what it was. It needed a different key then what it said it could use. The other apps will tell you when the permissions are wrong and flag you to change it. Submitting my entry now!

I spent 4 hours today trying to find a game to post about but once I start doing the post even after searching the link it then tells me in red that that hunt has all ready been posted. 2 of them were back in August of 2018! How old can the hunt be before I can post about it!? This is another reason I stopped posting on Steemhunt and im an influencer this week! thanks for all that you do @manajam keep up he great work, love this contest you put on!!❤😎🙋
Also does the other lnk i give have to be my introductory post!? or can I just give a link Of my blog on Steemit or Steemleo etc.!? upped and resteemed for ya!
