It's day Day 13 of the occupation. 'Lucky' number 13 on the Ides of March in a month containing Friday the 13th. Good thing I'm not too superstitious. Yet their is plenty of bad news today to go around.

First off, Jsun seems to have figured out that he was delegating millions of coins to accounts that didn't support the #steemhostiletakeover.

Jsun is making good on his promise to mitigate downvotes by removing his delegations from projects that were fighting spam.
Even worse, Jsun is in the process of replacing his sockpuppets with real puppets. The #kr community now has representation in the top 20 with the same 50 votes as all the other sockpuppets.

The team behind TripleA and the witness server will NEVER involve nor confirm any action or code that could freeze or limit the stake of anybody on the Steem blockchain.
Apparently, this is the only value one needs to bring to the blockchain these days to get into the top 20.
Apparently this is what one of the new puppet witnesses is doing while all this is going down... playing Steem monsters... I mean Spliterlands... Cool story.
Yeah, it's not great, but maybe it's all part of the plan.
Viruses are an absolute necessity in both the biological and digital realm. Viruses find a weak attack vector and exploit it. The host will either defeat the virus and become stronger, or die. Such is life.
I still find it absolutely incredible that COVID-19 is not a threat to children as every other flu before it has been. Is Mother Earth trying to tell us something? Does she know that humanity is entering a rapid age of evolution in response to drastic environmental change? Are children the future and the elderly obsolete?
Of course I'm talking out my ass, but we should all realize how little we actually know about the world around us and what is truly going on under the surface.
Surely, @justinsunsteemit is a virus.
And he must be neutralized for the good of this network. Of course, there are billions of symbiotic bacterium/viruses inside the human body. Without these little buggers in our system, we would not survive.
Many users on the Steem network believe that Jsun wants to help us, and only became threatened in response to our actions against him. I believe otherwise. He is a parasite and must be eradicated. Perhaps a sister fork would prove this theory one way or the other.
Sister fork bad.
The only reason why we haven't done it, other than our extreme lack of developers, is that the story of winning back our own blockchain is just too good to pass up. A sister fork splits the community, while a single consensus chain is arguably stronger than a split. However, you can turn this logic on it's ear over the long run. After all, every living thing replicates itself, even blockchains.
Under attack by the undead.
As I have stated over two years ago, I believe blockchain is a living thing that is meant to live its life over time and die; replicating in the process. Corporations, Governments, and Central-Banks on the other hand represent undead entities that will never die unless destroyed forcefully.
Conclusion
Will the Steem blockchain have to replicate in order to survive the threat from Jsun's army of the undead? Will we retake the main chain and destroy him outright? Will we tame the beast and engage in a symbiotic relationship? Will we lose the battle and be enslaved by a parasite? Who knows. There are a lot of ways this could go down. It is interesting to watch, to say the least.

Catchy title and I do agree, Sun is a virus.
It is getting closer to the time when this situation will resolve itself. I hope the community realizes what is happening and takes action.
Ultimately, the fork is a communities defense against a weak point....we have the opportunity to correct some of what is now plaguing us.

The fight is necessary and will never be pointless even if we fork out. It exposes other potential threats such as the tools that supported Justin amd there are surpringly a lot of them. I think before we fork out we need to issue a warning that anyone voting for his proxies at the triem of the split is not getting their stake. Give em 24 hours, then fork them out anyway.
Yeah I don't think a lot of these accounts voting for the puppets realize what a dangerous game they are playing. I attribute this false security around the witnesses playing the political game and trying to get as much support as possible.
However, if a sister fork is forced, I am fairly certain that more that just Jsun's stake is going to disappear. Why would the creators of a sister chain allow ANY of the stake that attacked us to enter the new system? It just doesn't make sense to me in the context of the reason we had to fork in the first place.
Yup. Also a lot of people supporting him have already caused so much harm to the community by messing around with the reward pool and doing whatever they can to harm Steem. It's their freedom I guess, but it wouldn't make sense to reward blacklisted accounts or those who dabble in gray areas constantly.

what an awesome write-up @edicted its so sad that the person who is supposed to make the steem blockchain better is the same person bringing a kind of virus to it...
