Studio filming with a Double Bass pro

I’ve spent 3 full days shooting multi-camera video for the wonderful Discover Double Bass (.com), filming another masterclass with professional jazz/improv tutor Olivier Babaz.
He’s a wonderful Frenchman, who is both living and making a living performing professionally in Canada.

Discover Double Bass is the home of online video double bass courses.

They have hours and hours of varied courses suitable for beginners to expert, no matter where you are in the world.

This week we’re at the Nave recording studio once again, a favourite studio of ours in Leeds, UK - I’ll be back here a lot over the coming weeks with more exciting sessions with new tutors in the pipeline.

As well as the usual sessions we also shot some interesting interviews. These are always good fun - it’s slightly more relaxed and conversational, digging out interesting stories and tips.

I have filmed with Olivier for DDB once before in the same location and getting the chance to shoot with him again was fantastic.
We picked up from where we left off.

Until next time :)

Cool stuff! Combining video with music. I guess that makes the audio recording at least as important as the video itself? :>)
