SteemFest4 - Awesome help received from the Steem community
SteemFest could have ended better to me as I got my phone stolen while heading back to the hotel to get my stuff and take a taxi to the airport. I only noticed it while in the Taxi. Too late (and useless) to head back.
Traveling without any communication tool and being unable to contact my family to warn them and to tell when I would be arriving back home was a bit scary to me. Fortunately, I still had my computer and was able to contact my fellow Steemians to ask for help.
Within minutes, I got tons of proposals to help, from people still in Thaïland, from people already at home and even from Steemians waiting at the airport. Such incredible support! This makes me warm at heart!
My family is now informed and will wait for me at the airport.
Thank you all. This is a real Proof-of-Community!
PS1: A special thank you to @louis88 for being the quickest to react and provide the required help.
PS2 Thank you to @jeff.jagoe, @elizacheng, @lizanomadsoul, @stoodkev, @fabianklauder, @andywong31, @joannewong21, @khimgoh,@livinguktaiwan,@ace108 for your support.
Steem Community for the win! Sorry you had to deal with this loss. But, glad to hear everyone pulled together to help you out ❤
Thank you @yogajill.
Steem proved to be even more a family than a community.

I used Google Photos to backup whenever I get wifi. I know some has fear of putting stuff on the cloud but Google photos allow me store so call high quality photos without storage limit. When i have time then I copy out the original photos.
Thanks for everything you've done for the event.
I'm kind of paranoid when it comes to backup my data (private life) to an external service provider.
Anyway, lesson learned. Maybe I should find a balance between privacy and comfort...
Nothing is private anymore so said a Member of Parliament of Singapore. :-)
So sorry while you had this scary journey a lot of us just so happened to be offline from telegram, but yes thanks to @elizacheng at the time when she was with us she kept us updated on your wellbeing.
So glad to know that you are home safely!

All my love, my dear angel 🤗❤️
Hi @arcange i know the feeling of loosing or having a phone stolen are you sure it was stolen or maybe left at the hotel i am living here in Bangkok if you need me to check with the hotel i can do so for you let me know...Cheers.
I was planning to be at the Steemfest but i got called away on work had to go to Koh Samui for work meetings.
Hey @hangin, thank you so much for your help proposal.
I'm 99,99% sure it was stolen, but I also know that when you're tired you can forget small things you did.
So let's give a chance to this 0.01%:
I checked the time on my phone while being wandering in the street at Bangkok festival, said goodbye to @stoodkev who was me and walked straight to the hotel (20 mins walk, partly in one overcrowded street)
The two only places where I could have "drop" my phone are:
I then rushed into a taxi, then few minutes later noticed my mobile was no more in my pocket while driving to the airport.
Should you find it at the hotel, please do not turn it on as I have requested a remote erase!
One again, thank you so much for your help proposal.
I have got so much support from all Steemians around the world. This is amazing!
Oh man, it makes me so sad to read you couldn't attend SteemFest, moreover when it happened in your country. (f... work 😢)
I wish you will be able to join next year.
All the best 🙏
Not a problem @arcange i will be down that why tomorrow i will go in and ask the hotel reception you never know they are normally pretty honest in that way , can you let me know what brand mobile phone and color and hopefully if someone did find it that they didn't switch it on....Cheers talk soon 👍
My mobile was a silver LG G6 with a thin grey protection around.
If you remove the protection, you will notice the back glass is broken.
Thank you @hangin
Cheers...will let you know how i go by later today 👍
Hi buddy I am at the hotel now can you give me your booking name you check in on and room number you were in.
Damn, missed you comment. Better to contact me on Telegram
Not a problem i hope you have some luck 👍
Hi @arcange i spoke to the head lady manger at the Prince Place she needed more detail like your booking name and room number if you like you can call her direct on this number ( 66 909 759 995 ) ... Good luck 👍
I will call the hotel.
Thank you for all what you have done @hangin.
My pleasure let me know how you go i told this lady manger it happened over the Steemfest period she knew about the Steemfest 👍
Here a quick feedback: finally called the hotel and they didn't found it. Quite expected as I now know that my phone was turned off [by thieves] before I left the hotel to the airport.
Yep unfortunate someone in the hotel has picked it up if it was turned off but who knows if it was hotel staff or customer in the hotel something that we will never know anyway i wrote a story on this just including in with my @wednesdaywalk if you like go check it out...here is the link...
SteemFest - Prince Palace !!
I'm so sorry to know that you lost your phone in Thailand. I do hope that you dropped it at the reception of Prince Palace hotel and hope you can get it back very soon.
If there is anything I can help, please just tell me.
Thank you for your help proposal @tangmo, much appreciated!
@hangin will check it with the hotel today.
You're welcome!
Ah! I much regret to know that the hotel staff didn't find your phone. I do hope this will not happen again if you visit Thailand in the future.
