Steem kennt wohl jeder der das hier liest. Doch wie bringen wir den Steem an neue Leute? Andere Open Source Communities sammeln neue Mitglieder vor allem über lokale Meetups, Vorträge auf Konferenzen und ähnlichem. Hierfür sammeln sie bei Sponsoren Geld ein. Und genau das haben wir jetzt im DACH (Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz) Raum vor. Eine erste Veranstalltung soll ein Workshop an der Technischen Hochschule Georg Simon Ohm in Nürnberg sein. Da es an der dortigen Informatik Fakultät bereits ein paar Steemians gibt, haben wir einen Fuß in der Tür und werden es ausnutzen. Im kommenden Wintersemester 2019/2020 wird eine Gruppe von Steemians dort einen Abend lang einen Workshop zum Steem abhalten.

Kostenplan

Wir rechnen mit Kosten um Rahmen von etwa 2.550 SBD für diese Veranstaltung. Etwa 1000 SBD fallen alleine für Reisekosten und Unterbringen der Referenten an. Leider ist Deutschland ein relativ großes Land und die Deutsche Bahn ist nicht gerade ein günstiges Reisemittel.
Weitere 120 SBD sind für die Pizza eingeplant, es wurde die Erfahrung gemacht das Pizza Studenten anlockt. Man kann einen noch so Interessanten Vortrag oder Workshop organisieren, ohne Pizza ist die Teilnahme bei Stundenten eher gering.
Damit den Studenten der lange Registrierungsprozess erspart wird, werden wir einen bestimmten Betrag nutzen um ihnen Accounts mit einem kleinen Startguthaben zu geben. Hierfür rechnen wir mit etwa 150 SBD.
Die verbleibenden 1280 SBD sind als Entlohnung für die Arbeit und nicht zu vergessen die Steuer vorgesehen.

Zeitraum

Um das SPS System nicht auf einen Schlag zu sehr zu belasten, werden wir den Betrag über einen Zeitraum von einem Monat beantragen. Einen genauen Termin gibt es noch nicht, er wird jedoch aller Wahrscheinlichkeit Ende Oktober oder im November 2019 stattfinden.

Die Veranstaltung

Auf der Veranstaltung selbst soll die Steem-Blockchain erklärt, der Steem als Soical Media Anwendung, die verschiedenen Frontends, Steem als Gaming Plattform, als Verdienstplattform, als Spendenplattform und als Plattform für Entwickler vorgestellt werden. Insgesamt erwarten wir zwischen 10 und 50 Teilnehmer, da solche Veranstaltungen nicht verpflichtend sind und sich viele erst am entsprechenden Abend entscheiden ob sie kommen oder nicht, ist es schwierig genaue Zahlen zu nennen.

Wir rechnen mit einem Umfang von etwa 2 Stunden an dem Abend selbst, etwa 8 Stunden Vorbereitung und etwa 4 Stunden zur Medialen Nachbereitung. Insgesamt kommen so etwa 30 Arbeitsstunden zusammen.

The english part

Steem, I think everyone who reads this knows Steem. But how do we get the Steem to new people? Other open source communities collect new members mainly through local meetings, lectures at conferences and the like. For this they collect money from sponsors. And that's exactly what we're planning to do in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). A first event will be a workshop at the Nuremberg Tech. Since there are already a few Steemians at the computer science faculty there, we have a foot in the door and will take advantage of it. In the coming winter semester 2019/2020 a group of Steemians will hold a Steem workshop there for one evening.

Cost plan

We expect costs around 2.550 SBD for this event. About 1000 SBD will be charged for travel expenses and accommodation of the speakers. Unfortunately, Germany is a relatively large country and the Deutsche Bahn is not a very cheap means of travel.
Another 120 SBD are planned for the pizza, the experience was made that attracts pizza students. One can organize an interesting lecture or workshop, without pizza the participation of students is rather low.
In order to save the students the long registration process, we will use a certain amount to give them accounts with a small starting credit. For this we expect about 150 SBD.
The remaining 1280 SBD are intended as remuneration for the work and not to forget the tax.

In order not to overload the SPS system too much in one go, we will apply for the amount over a period of one month. There is no exact date yet, but it will probably take place at the end of October or in November 2019.

The event

At the event itself the Steem Blockchain will be explained, the Steem as Soical Media application, the different frontends, Steem as gaming platform, as earnings platform, as donation platform and as platform for developers will be presented. In total we expect between 10 and 50 participants, because such events are not obligatory and many of them don't decide whether to come or not until the appropriate evening, it is difficult to give exact figures.

We expect a duration of about 2 hours in the evening itself, about 8 hours of preparation and about 4 hours for media follow-up. In total, about 30 working hours will be spent.
