There are many things which occur to you that you are not. Even when the devil seeks to define us by our mistakes and failures; God vows to uphold us by the right hand of His righteousness.
While Rachael struggled in a very hard labor to give birth to her child; as her soul literally departed from her, she called the name of the child – Benoni meaning the son of my sorrow. Her husband Jacob stepped in and called his name – Benjamin meaning the son of my right hand. You are not really what your situation is suggesting that you are. You are who God says you are and what God says you have.
You will find so much hopelessness and helplessness wrapped all around you when you seek to assess your life by your present level of strength or weakness. When you come to realize that you are really not alone, you will receive a fresh insight of hope to forge ahead. It is fulfilling when you come to realize in the midst of your inadequacies, that you are connected with God.
It is this connection that proves the enemy wrong. It is this connection that turns you worrisome feelings into lies. Scriptures affirm that to him that is joined to all the living there is hope. The Strength that He is: is the strength that keeps you going even when you are down and can’t see the way.
Do you know that you are not as weak as you think? Apostle Paul proclaimed – “Let the weak say I am strong” Joel 3:10. You are not strong by what you can afford but by what Jesus has already done. The provision of His grace is what matters. When you begin to operate from the standpoint of the abundant grace that has been made available to you, the devil will turn out to be the liar that he is.
When you become daring, standing on the provisions of grace, you will discover that you are really not the many things the devil says you are. You are strong, you are not weak, you are a victor, you are not a victim; you are rich, you are not poor. A look into the work of grace gives you a proper insight of who you are in Christ.
Do not mind what they say, only GOD has the final say in your life.
HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
