Hello and happy Sunday

Text Exodus 20:1-6, Isaiah 43:11-15.

God almighty, the creator of heaven and earth made his personality known to us in his words. He stated clearly that he is the one and only God, indisputably supreme.
Since time immemorial, man has tempted to replace God with lesser creations, isreal as a nation had incurred God's wrath severally due to the sin of forsaking jahovah for foreign gods. Today as well believers are faced with the danger of worshipping gods that are not God Almighty. Today's text wants us to reexamine ourselves in line with how truly the God we claim to have is the one and true God.

1. He alone is worthy of worship- Exodus 20:1-6

The entire creations are God's handwork purposely created to worship the creator and reveal his glory. Unfortunately, Devil puts it in the heart of man to invent things that are called god to upgrade God's creations to the level of creator. The very desire of God to see man worshipping him as the one with absolute power is also the desire of satan to divert such honour to himself via: small god only

1. Omnipotent God- Isaiah 43:11-43

The one and onGo true God - Jahovah, has all powers hence we can call him omnipotent God. The picture seen in this passage as per God's all powerful nature are :

• He alone is the only being that can deliver or save. (V11)
• No other gods foreign god could save, deliver bless or bless or help man (v12)
• Isreal and Isaiah are witnesses that the Lord is God, everything about the nation is a proof of God's supreme power (v12)
• God's omnipotent status, his acts are irreversible by any one.

1. The Lord cares

• He cares enough to redeem us Roman 5:8
• He cares enough to turn our captors to captives- Isaiah 43:14
• He created us in his image made us crown of his creation. Genesis 1:26
  He has the goal of our spending eternity with him. John 14:1-14
  God monotheism is unarguably true for believers. The question is how much do we keep to this knowledge by ensuring we serve him alone and not allowing our heart to be diverted to other things that desire to have us. We must consciously keep our faith and encourage others to do the same.
