Getting Ready for HF21
I need your suggestions and ideas on tools
As a manual curator with several accounts, what I want to do is set up and easy way to have my other accounts follow my vote.
The Interface should be as easy as this:
Account Name: _________
Posting Key: _____________
Account to Trail:_________
Vote Delay: (none or minutes)
Vote percentage:(follow or enter another percent)
Save
I was going to use Autovoter but the SteemConnect user interface is a huge pain in the butt and they also charge for my vote. We are only talking about the posting key here, so it doesn't require huge security.
The other solution I checked out requires that I create a complete account for each account I want to vote with.
Maybe Keychain could allow some sort of vote follow methods.
Anyway, I know a lot of people have account trails set up and automated so please share your solutions.
For the record: I still plan on Manual Curation Using @whatsup and a trail to follow.
PS: If you haven't heard yet, all posts made today and afterward should likely payout using the NewSteem Rewards Incentives and many have stated they will be recalculated after the fork.
I have the baby account for the tribe tokens running on https://steemauto.com
I only have one account that I have delegated all tokens (that can be delegated) to. I have set a couple autovotes on a couple accounts (and they will know when I read because they will get my main account vote). the baby follows my vote (at 100%) on everything I cast manually also. This way I can add tribe tokens into the mix, regardless of what percentage my Steem vote is.
It is a quick and dirty solution for me.
Edit:I have always been a manual voter but it is too time consuming with two accounts for me. THis way, it is still essentially (mostly) manual.

I have never been much of a maximizer, but I haven't been much of a waster either - this is middle ground.
steemrewarding.com is the most comprehensive tool by far, but it's not as straightforward as steemauto. Depends how much time you got :)
Yes ^^ was about to suggest steemrewarding. It’s actually relatively easy once you spend about an hour on the initial learning curve. I’ve also been recently diving into the vote time optimization section. Crazy stuff there. Holger is a wizard
Yeah I'm OK with it now, although have recently just cocked up my vote times thinking they would have an effect from today for curation, which isn't the case.
And i'm still yet to find anything about the reverse auction timings for the tribes, now or post fork...
Steemrewarding looks complicated at a first view but it is not...but I agree, I would prefer less options and settings which I don’t use...

I use steem rewarding, too. Set up one and copy, then tweak accordingly. They have follow trails too. The learning curve is higher, but if you can figure out excel, its not too bad. Also, the auto settings don't have youbdoing dodgy things. holger80 is one of the most capable devs doing stuff on steem and is not motivated by a selfish desire. However, he is a computer guy and prefers boolean logic to Y/N
I'm using this, but it took a while to figure it out. My secondary account votes with tribe tokens with filters on tags.

So, there is a Wise.Vote tool, made by @wise-team (@noisy & co.)
It's not for voting automation (I tried to convince them to make such hybrid) but rather a "vote delegation system build as a 2nd-layer voting protocol".
TL:DR: I make "wise" voting rules so you can request my vote if post meet requirements.

While I can't add more rules myself yet, because I would have need to re-balance current ones to not spend too much VP there, you can use it yourself as delegator/voter.

If voting an account's post automatically, why not voting its comment as well?

Because now if they don't go over 0.02 they won't payout as they don't pass the dust threshhold and it is a waste, after hf21 they will be affected by the convergent curve. But you do as you please.
And then there is the content of comments having much more variability than that of posts.

I can build a tool like this. It won't exactly be free but it won't exactly cost much either. Expect it soon.

Yeah, I probably just got annoyed at the 5 step process to login with steemconnect.
In ye olden days you used to be able to find scripts to run yourself that would accomplish these sorts of things. One HF or another broke whatever i was using at the time and I haven't found anything since (but haven't really been looking very hard). I would like to find something I can run myself vs. using a service. I would write my own but I just don't have the time and am not quite motivated enough...
I hear you about the motivation part and running a script.
I have to do the same and am probably consider doing some manual curation at the beginning. I am looking forward to see how we adapt as individuals and as a community and the implications it will have!
This is exactly why Steem/Steemit will never have nice things. This is exactly what brings down the platform.
mhmmm you could ask a couple of questions... Yes, people hate it when I vote with a few tiny accounts that were made for curation and other projects..
Like adoptaminnow and other things.. and then follow that up with a larger vote. That harms no one.

I vote on myself once a day.
Every account I run I bought or earned my stake and held it. Not sure what you are on about.
What am I on about?....that wasn't the original rules of the game now was it? That's what has brought the platform down and a laughing stock in the outside world.
I can't blame you though, you either play the game or you lose, that's life.

Why not use steem auto? They do all you need.
