Finally 'Notifications' is here! Can a region/country have their own community on upcoming SMTs?

It took about 4 years for steemit.com to have a 'Notification' button in it. In my opinion, absence of this very feature itself turned down many potential users from entering the blockchain. I remember the days when getting notifications was a painful as it involved the usage of several third party boats on discord. The ones unaware of this ended up moving from the platform altogether.

Now that I see a considerable change in the UI of steemit which has improved the readability of an average user. Steem developers have definitely put in a lot of efforts into it which I would like to appreciate now.

The main difference brought about here is the introduction of a notification button. Though it appears pretty basic for a social media, it took steemit 4 years and and a sellout to bring it. Along with that, now one can see the time in which the profile was active, just like WhatsApp and Facebook. A great thing indeed.

The best thing that we steemians encountered today is the announcement staying on the top of steemit which says We're beginning to roll out communities. Stay tuned for updates.

SMT has been the topic of discussion for such a looong time and seeing it getting rolling out brings in a lot of happiness to average steemians. Hereafter we can have our own communities that will bring about so many positive changes in our eco system.

I hope that we can roll out a community represting a particular region which will definitely act as an initiative to onboard people from that region... Coming are the days of moon for steem..

Steem on!
