First off, I'm not after the 10 STEEM, mainly because I don't like to resteem so I won't be doing that. If that wasn't a requirement, I'd definitely be after it. But after reading @mytechtrail's responses, I wanted to do mine. Plus I haven't posted in a few months so why not?

How long have you been using Steem?

Since near the very start. The first payout was on July and I joined in September.

Where are you in terms of SP? (Plankton(0-500SP), Minnow(500-5000SP), Dolphin(5k-50kSP), Whale(you're probably not a whale, if you are you know what a whale is))

Just my main account, I'm a minnow. If you combine the SP in all the accounts I own, I'm a dolphin.

Where are you in the world? (Just Country)

The best one. Haha, USA.

What brought you to Steem?

Free video games :). Here's a quick post explaining it in more details.

What was your first impression?

Steem is very different back then than it is now. I liked it, but I didn't know its true power.

How do you feel about the current state of Steem?

I love Steem as a blockchain. All the stuff build around it(steemmonsters, steem-engine, other UI's) are great. I don't care all too much about the posts. I read the ones from the people I follow, but am currently more active on the development side rather than interacting.

How often do you use Steem applications/websites/etc?

Using, maybe 15-30 minutes a day. Developing stuff for it, depends but can be from 1-2 hours a day to almost the whole day at times.

What is your favorite Steem Application and why?

Steemmonsters is a fun game and its very interactive so I've got to go with that for my answer. I'm not much of a writer so all the front ends that are focused on "blogging" are just seen as extra to me.

What’s your favorite thing about Steem?

How easy it is to develop for it. It's fun too.

What’s your least favorite thing about Steem?

How hard it is to start off without any money. Unless you get discovered by some miracle, you aren't going to succeed without putting in effort onto your writing like a lot of people say you will. And even then it's not a garuntee that you'll get anything at all.

How difficult/easy would you say it is to use Steem?

This honestly depends on what you use. If you just focus on the blogging part and do nothing else, it can be easy. If you just play SM, it can be easy. But as a newbie trying to do all this at once, it can get daunting.

Would you recommend Steem to family/friends/coworkers? If no why not?

Already have, they joined and quit. I don't think anyone else I know is too keen about crypto and blockchain yet. Maybe in a few years.

What do you wish you could do with Steem that you can’t currently?

Can't answer this. Really don't know what I want.

What excites you most about Steem?

The development possibilities with custom_json.

What worries you most about Steem?

Stealing this answer from @mytechtrail : The infighting and down-vote wars chasing away users..

the in-crowd have a very crank idea on how 'the masses' would be and would be coming , true dat , anyone i asked simply said 'meh' ... (...'paying to facebook?' why would i wanna pay for ...etc , and indeed, the whole planet isnt interested in pyramid affiliate marketing and the entry-level for standard run-of-the-mill every day fb-users who made zuck rich is simply too steep, even if its a tek-heads playground and as you say the dev-side is the interesting part, i havent found anyone too keen on 'if you want to post 20 a day you pay but be careful you might find your money zeroed out by zealots' (or should i use another pitch on people i know or family ?')

i put a stop on it myself for a while, it sometimes feels like they are deliberatly insulting what little intelligence i have left with the same regurgitated pitch ... "short term means nothing"

"o yea? so if people do the pension fund thing and 20 years from now 1 million withdraw all at once who's gonna get anything thats worth anything but the first 100 to withdraw ?"

hyperinflation and the total unwillingness (or inability) to see that small stores or something, anyone trying to promote a product, putting money in it can be zeroed out and blanked by ANYONE who simply has more ...

its like entering a voting booth : one guy puts in 500 dollar and votes once ... 400 people come in with one dollar and vote each once

first guy is president :p

there's a streak of downvote bots on the loose who all have one thing in common : a witness vote on an account named puncakbukit

nothing gets done about it ... HF21 was a disaster and it certainly hasnt helped to push the price up. I stopped all my cronjobs and posts (things i spent over a year on sometimes by now) because it doesnt even pay itself for the electricity the machine uses when running 24/7

despite that ... i hang around , but i rarely comment or interact

we'll see where it goes ... my guess is either stuck around tencent or further down ... every time it goes up by two cents it gets bricked to 12 again for quite some time now, the huge pool ninjamined at the very beginning is waiting to be sold off
