Why Steem's Simply the Best
Let's do a post to remember the advantage of Steem and why I love Steem...
Well, you can get upvotes which are worth real money - but there is a much more important advantage. To bring it back into your mind I’ll like to share some experience I made the last few weeks when I posted off-steem.
Mixed Twitter Feelings
To post on Twitter gives the impression to post for a really fast-moving audience. It’s quite difficult to find followers there. Probably because it’s not a real community building platform like we have on Steem. But at least you can publish your permlinks of your Steem posts - better than nothing. So far at least.
My Patronizing Experience with Reddit
I can tell you, that - besides a nice community we are here - there is another significant advantage to do your posts on Steem. Maybe we forget it sometimes using Steem frequently - but: We are on a blockchain - yeah!
The story:
For the CO2Fund-Project I have launched on Steem I started to post some information on Reddit. I shared some links of my Steem posts in the subreddit environment which is quite suitable because of many posts there regarding CO2 emission.
What happened then?
There are some moderators for every subreddit. One of the many moderators (and you will never know who, because it seems that they act anonymously) have deleted the posts. Well, I thought you will get some information about the reasons. But no way to find it out.
So I wrote (via a chat feature) to some of the moderators wo seems to be active. But nobody has ever send a response.
Well, if you post on Reddit you are fully dependent on the goodwill of anonymous moderators. If one of the many moderators don’t like your post, your project, or has another opinion - you simply can’t do anything.
Tumblr
Well, since my posts are not accepted on Reddit for whatever reasons I tried Tumblr. And so far it works at least.
