My first post after HF21: Welcome to the New Steem!
Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
The long awaited and much debated Hard Fork 21 has been successfully implemented and I am excited to write my first post in the new era - the era of the New Steem :)
First off, I would love to say one big thank you to all those witnesses and community developers who have been working on and testing the HF for long weeks. I think they did a great job as the blockchain was down for just a few hours and that is a tremendous improvement from the previous HF that was a way less smooth. Moreover, we have been constantly posted and updated on what is going on so the communication was also much better this time. Thank you guys!
As for all the changes and effects that the HF21 and the New Steem is going to bring, I think only time will tell but I have already seen a few massively bidbot boosted shitposts downvoted to oblivion thanks to the free downvotes that we all have been given as one of the new rules so I think bidbot abusers will soon be past and there will be more major improvements to the blockchain and the community.
I must say I personally feel very excited about the New Steem era :) I think we have some amazing times ahead. Keep on Steeming guys and enjoy the ride!

Zrovna pročítám nějaké posty o HF21 a říkám si, jestli někdo nebude přehnaně aktivní a nebude downvotit takové ty soutěžní nebo charitativní a jiné posty, kde člověk chtě nechtě zkrátka část textu zkopíruje. Možná jen u těch, co tam budou mít očividně nákup hlasů od bota za 50 dolarů. Sám jsem zvědav, jak se Steemit teď vyvine.
Já myslím, že ty downvotovací komanda budou cílit výhradně na trending page a shitposty s payoutem v řádech desítek nebo stovek dolarů. Zatím to ale spíš vypadá, že éra bid botů úplně skončí :D
Asi jo no, ono stejně co je do 20 STEEM tak se asi nevyplatí a nad 20 STEEM (nebo spíš USD) to vypadá že se dostaneš do hledáčku komand :) Ale co jsem tak vytušil, díky downvotům hodnotných článků se snad ta odměna zkrácená dostane vývojářům a naopak se nebude tolik čerpat (v daném období) z odměn článků. Ale možná to chápu špatně.
Myslím, že vývojářům bylo v rámci HF nově vyhrazeno 10% z reward poolu. To downvotování postů z trending page je pro nás vlastně dobré. Spousta Steemu, který by si normálně rozdělili autoři těch postů, se díky těm downvotům vrátí zpět do reward poolu a tím pádem pak budou větší odměny pro poctivé Steemians :)
I am more neutral. It is great to see people downvote ship posts who did hit trending thanks to buying votes. But it of course also comes with a cost! It will become very hard for me to grow my account further!

I see your point but on the other hand, they say much more people will be now curating manually, looking for quality posts with big potential curation rewards so author who post valuable content shouldn´t worry too much :) But only time will tell of course...
Indeed it will. But I don't believe that people will start to manually curate more. They will search for the ones who are getting big enough upvotes, use an autovoter and set it on 4 minutes.
I am writing for 1.5 years now on steem. Some good post, some with lesser quality but also own content. In these 1.5 years, I can count the upvotes from Orca's and Whales on my 2 hands. So I don't see why they would discover me now.
I know that it is hard to get noticed and I am happy with how things are going for me on Steem, but I just don't believe that lot's of steemians will actively search for new great content writers.
But the downvotes seems to be working.
Well, at least I am gonna do that :D (search for good undervalued posts). I notice some major curation groups like curie sometimes randomly upvote these posts from unknown authors... But yeah, there will be a lot autovoting too forsure. What makes me glad is that it now seems that my efforts to accumulate as much SP as possible will start to pay off with the new system.
Can imagine. Well you earned fair and square so time to let it work.

See you on all your posts ;) I can see you put a lot efforts in your content and you post regularly, regardless of the price or whatever and I believe our community needs people like this. Just put you on my autovoter ;)

Yes I know about the 50/50 reward split. Makes curation more attractive.
I hope you are correct. I didn't like my upvote is much less, but I will roll with it.
I am actually a bit confused about it. SteemWorld says my full upvote is currently worth 0.15 $ but when I upvote something with 100%, it only adds some 0.08 $ to it.
