Thanking all witnesses who are fighting to keep our Steem Blockchain intact!!

As part of Steem community, I appreciate all the witnesses and consensus witnesses of the Steem Blockchain that are fighting to protect and safeguard the Steem Blockchain. Generally all this is complicated for me, however, recent chaotic happenings on Steem made me spend my time to understand what’s happening to the Steem Blockchain post Justin Sun, Tron take over, sorry acquisition of Steemit Inc.

Unsung heroes who are protecting Steemit Inc’s Ninja Stake

My heart bleeds with gratitude to those witnesses that first initiated this brave move to protect Steemit Blockchain and safeguard Steemit Inc’s ninja mined stake by creating the Soft Fork 0.22.2. This huge amount of stake comprising of 65 million tokens, was obtained by mining the blockchain at it’s onset, and was agreed to be used only for the growth and development of the Steemit Blockchain, this was also cleared by the then founder of Steemit @Ned who irresponsibly just abandoned Steemit selling it to someone untrustworthy like Justin Sun and making money. (Sorry guys, I got to be upright here and speak up, irrespective of downvotes, or any consequences because I understand Steem blockchain is in danger of going dead, but not yet, there is hope) .

According to the good faith agreement among the Steemit Community this ninja mined stake cannot be used for voting witnesses or Governance purposes, period!! This is essential to have Steem Blockchain decentralised, else it would give too much power to that entity or individual to control Steem Blockchain resulting in centralisation. The witnesses who did that softfork only wanted to protect that ninja mined stake from being misused by Tron under Justin Sun. They were protecting Steem Blockchain by being taken over by Justin Sun and Tron. Personally, I applaud this move, because they did this selfishly for their concern for Steem Blockchain because they owe it to all those 180 thousand steem community members who voted for them to protect Steem Blockchain’s ‘status quo’ of being a decentralised, trustless blockchain.

The Steem witnesses are the one’s who are the reason, this Steem Blockchain is running, respect them, in fact I would honour them because they are fighting for our Steem Blockchain, trying their best to not have it get destroyed and corrupted by Justin Sun and Tron. Thank you to all those witnesses!!

Justin Sun eyes on Steem Inc’s sacred Ninja Stake!!

Now, coming to Justin Sun and Tron community’s various actions that undermined the Steem Blockchain.

Justin Sun, wanted Steemit Inc’s ninja mined stake to use to vote for witnesses and Governance purposes. He cannot be trusted, because of what I conjecture this guy is not for decentralisation!! His various actions done to Steem Blockchain itself proves that.

Justin’s dismissal of Steem’s Top 20 Witnesses through Centralised, devious measures

Justin Sun, just removed these guardian democratic witnesses of Steem Blockchain, unethically!!

Mind you, he did not care that when these witnesses are thrown away, the Steem Blockchain deteriorates, because they know the best about the technicalities of the Steem Blockchain and are the ones the Steem Community voted for!! They take care and maintain the Steem Blockchain, they deserve respect!!

However, Justin Sun cooly took control of the Steemit Blockchain using Centralised Exchanges, including Binance, the exchange I use for this purpose.

Centralised Exchange’s use customer’s Steem to Power Up and take control of Steem Blockchain

Certain Centralised Exchanges used customers’ Steem funds and powered up, then with this unfairly gained Steem Power through unscrupulous means, Justin Sun, removes those Top 20 witnesses and replaces them with some proxy witnesses. Aha, thus demonstrating his disregard for the basic value of a blockchain which is decentralisation!!

Interestingly, I checked in Binance can't withdraw Steem from there, they locked it, maybe because they used customer funds for the above explained powering up process!!

Blatant lies branding good witnesses as bad actors for Steem Blockchain!!

He also tries to convince Steem Community that all this was done for the good of the Steem Blockchain, that those witnesses could have taken over stakes of any Steemit account holder, and that they had threatened to hardfork and nullify Steem tokens. I am sure these are blatant lies, we all know that those Steem Witnesses were working on Steem Blockchain since a long time, they are committed to the Steem chain and Justin Sun accuses them of being bad actors, he who knows nothing of Steem Blockchain and does not respect these witnesses who have grown and developed and maintained the Steem Blockchain to what it is today. How dare does he do that?.

Justin Sun intend on having Power Down time period to 1 day using Centralised Exchanges

What’s more Justin Sun, got his hands on Steemit Inc’s ninja stake and I guess used it to vote for witnesses. What Justin Sun did is criminal!! Further, he wants to do things that would benefit him but distroy Steemit Blockchain and community. He wanted to create an hardfork to enable Centralised Exchanges to power down Steem Power and get liquidation in 1 to 3 days. Sure, what is there to prevent this guy from powering down the ninja stake, taking that money and running away!!

Justin Sun Disappoints

Our hopes from Justin Sun was that he would provide money for the growth and development of Steem Blockchain, that Steem would benefit from his marketing prowess, but one cannot tolerate him destroying the integrity and worth of Steem Blockchain. Right??

In the recent meeting, witnesses had with Justin Sun, this money minded selfish guy revealed his interest in Steem is money, money and money!! He feels that he has a claim to Steem Inc’s ninja stake. He forgets that Steem Community regards that ninja stake as scared, that is the reason that many people have invested in Steem. Justin is not interested in developing Steem Blockchain, he is intent on exploiting it for his own greed.

Justin Sun ignorant of the basic terms on which Steem Blockchain functions

He told the witnesses that @Ned had not told him about the ninja stake and since there was no contract in relation to Steemit Inc’s condition/clause on the use of ninja stake, he is entitled to have a claim to it because he invested in Steem. Justin Sun does not understand Steem Blockchain atall, but he is proving to be a good nuisance to the Steem Blockchain.

Steem Witness in talks to maintain Steem Blockchain status quo and keep it intact

The glitter of hope is, Steem witnesses are going to have further talks with Justin Sun and Tron community to set right the damages done to the Steem Blockchain. I understand that their conditions are the following.

  • Publicly admit that Justin Sun is sorry to have accused the Steem Witnesses of being hackers and bad actors.

  • Decline Voting rights, so Justin does not ever again control the Steem Blockchain and manipulate it.

  • Restore the 20 Top witness he removed so they can replace the one’s he reinstated.

  • Also there is no way, the ninja stake can be used for anything other than for the development and maintenance of the Steem Blockchain. Short time period of power down option using exchanges will not be allowed.

I still feel because our witnesses are there fighting back to restore back Steem Blockchain, Steem may very well survive and thirve.

It’s incredible that Steem Blockchain has such amazing witnesses that are showing the drive to take it forward and lead on protecting Steem Chain without a leader to guide them. This is something that humbles me, and empowers me to speak up my mind here, maybe because after so many days of association I feel I am part of the Steem COmmunity. Sure, I wanted to make money, it did not happen, I had to earn Steem the hard way and till now I have not got my Steem liquidated, only recenlty I powered down, and till now I have not been benifited by Steem monetarily.

Grateful for all support got from Steem Communities

However, Steem has encouraged me to write articles on travel, crypto, blockchain, economy and even my pet cats. I have enjoyed writing articles here, even when that did not pay me in the short term and till now even as I have not cashed out much atall. I prefer Steem to be a decentralised platform, I don’t want it to perish, but if it does I will still be grateful for all the support I got from Steem community from their upvotes, reesteems, even downvotes, comments and cuddles from @steemkitten.

I have grown as a writter here at a time when I had no confidence in my writing abilities, I understood that I really write appealing content that people like to read especially on travel. Infact, tears are flowing in my eyes now, to imagine Steem Blockchain fading away, but if does, I can move on,. Money will come one day, but what matters, is value, growth, community, decentralisation and ethos.

I end this post by saying I am hopeful that our Steem witnesses will be able to protect and keep running and developing the Steem Blockchain in a decentralised fashion. They are capable, committed and there seems to be a strong community out here and I wish everyone goodluck in their quest of saving our Steem Blockchain.
