Steem Monsters has more active users than Steemit.com
I did not know this, but Steem Monsters/Splinterlands is the most popular app on steem
Much has been made about steemit.com lately, but it turns out that isn't even the most popular app on steem right now.
I think with some marketing it could be again, but as of right now, not so much.

Close to 4k active users within the past 24 hours.
Not a ton in the grand scheme of things, but in reality there are not many users using any of these apps on any blockchain right now, so 4k actually is pretty good.
If communities catch on it may push steemit.com back up though, I think they could already be helping steempeak as it is now the 3rd most popular app on steem.

Splinterlands has been in the lead for a while. The team over there is doing a great job moving that project forward.
I have a feeling the ball is just getting rolling. I think the marketing is going to kick off on a large scale soon.

Sure, but will steemit catch up now that Communities are here and Sun is involved?
It could depending upon what changes they make to the site. Steempeak has communities and still offers a lot more as an interface.
