How about we give the man a chance instead of waging war from the start? After all, Steemit was dying already. A different story would be if he wanted to merge the Steem blockchain to Tron, as that would be an attempt against decentralization. I say we give him a respectful handshake with one hand and keep the other on the blade just in case.

nevermind that steemit developers took ages to get smts done, would probably take them 3 years to migrate steem to tron, if at all possible.

Its not going to be an in-protocol problem. Let's say you refuse to be involved with the swap. You have two options, sell your STEEM now or watch what happens to the value of your STEEM when all the exchanges delist your STEEM for his TRC20 tokens.
Ever wanted the opportunity to get 1,000,000 STEEM for cheap? You're probably going to see that opportunity come if we do a Steem Classic fork, because Steem Classic will be on no exchanges. The only way we could get decent liquidity for Steem Classic is if we built a bridge to Ethereum so that Classic STEEM could exist in Uniswap.

Exactly, as a "Tronics" I would ask the Steemit community to give TRON a chance before burning the bridges without investigating what TRON is. If you look deeper into TRON, I hope you will see, that there is a great potential in the cooperation between the two communities

I don't know yet what Steem is, which is why I am here to figure it out before making an opinion and I would invite you to also check out what TRON really is before being to opinionated about it. There is much more to TRON than the senseless FUD which is being spread
I'm interested only to blockchains where I can create content. I'm in LBRY, I'm in uptrennd. All I know about tron that you have a lot of gambling apps. Do you have social apps ? If not, I don't have time to learn about a thing I will not use.

Its a hostile takeover, but what do you really think is going to happen by a revolt? Justin will get the exchanges and the major dapps on his side, and we'll be stuck with a chain lost among 3000 coins/tokens on coinmarketcap and a token worth less than a penny.
Only crap exchanges will accept our Steem Classic token if any. Liquidity will be gone, which means all the people here trying to earn value will do the swap and the only people that actually will stay are hardcore "immutable blog space" fanatics, of which is likely a rather small number.

Can i just ask if it was Ethereum, if Buterin acquired steemit how you would feel then?
I don't know. After all the content I created about this topic, all what I consumed, I'm really tired that something bad will happen to steem. I just will keep promoting it and create on it. It's hard to stop doing that after all the time that we spent here. Some people are confused, but I think they feel better after time. I just hope tron guys will understand that steem is an independent blockchain. I want them to understand that Sun baught only steemit and that our community still have most power. I don't think that's a right move from Justin to tell that he gonna swap steem to tron. We can collaborate and use tron as the same time in our application and that's the right thing, but not to get rid of our blockchain and convert it into a token.
He bought the community and a brand. To piss us off and leave would be silly, to make his stake in coins worthless would be silly. Either his coins are just the cost of taking over or he wants them to be worth something. Nobody knows how this tech will integrate but this is the future of this tech. If Justin creates a brand out of Tron, perceptions will change over night and Trons image in the public domain can shine big like Ethereum. Ethereum has only a brand, and a pretty unscalable chain.
Don't you think that if we keep pushing with steem and we will have SMT's in our original chain, that will lead steem to shine even more ?
