What a time to come back into the Steem market. Ever since steem peaked those 8 dollars quite a while back I have been selling off slowly at all stages of the steem price. at 7, 5, 3, 1 dollars all the way down to 50cents I have been selling off. Yet, and here I am buying back at 16 cents! what changed?

I sold cause I lost faith in the project

Simply too much bad stuff was happening on steem and I could not help but feel it all felt like a bit of a joke. It felt like people didn't really see what the real focus was. While we had been distracted by mediocre steem games trying to make us all hyped, we had such messy periods of bid bots taking the trending pages, the steemit team not developing what they promised and I guess the list could go on and on.

You get my point, things have been bad and it was not a place where I felt comfortable having my money not my time at. Before the bid bot madness, I had a certain use of steem so I liked having a lot of it. But now when our votes didn't matter at all because bid bots anyways had complete control in who goes where. I just couldn't see any reason to make use of my steem or for that matter, maintain my activity. Everything was so artificial it felt wrong.

But of course, I have always been watching a bit in the background, observing where steem would go.

There's so much potential it would be awful to see it all go down the drain

It seems like for me steem suddenly has a lot going for it. Not only does the "new"steem team (from my perspective they are still new) doing their best to keep the development, but that is not really my reason for buying back, in fact I could not care less about what the steemit team is doing at this point.

The community finally stepped up. With the hard-fork going in I have already noticed a huge switch that really has put a lot of pressure on bid bots. It really looks like they are slowly crumbling and with our new downvoting mechanism we can really punish those who decided to hold the trending pages as a hostage. This is, of course, just a victory for primary steemit. But for the blockchain itself, we are also seeing some huge movement.

We are now having that sweet, sweet steem-engine going for us. All these interesting tokens popping up and while many of them don't have too much value as of current, I really think it is a groundbreaking movement. I have barely looked into many of them but the fact, that people are using it for all kind of "shit" is actually the "shit" we need. Something, where even the most casual person can make his own token if he wishes, is not something to be taken lightly.

Let us not forget the new trending "burn culture" we are about it be integrating. Like 3speak new 3% burn and probably many to follow in these footsteps. People are realizing its not about accumulating all the steem in the world at the cost of steem. Instead, it seems people try to solve the ever falling red line.

To all of you developers, it's been amazing to watch your dedication

I am amazed on how people keep fighting this fight. I guess I could go on with things I have observed since I took the backseat and to me, steem shines of potential. Before I really tried to ignore our faults and be hyped about everything I could. But quickly when I realized where we were heading and how bad it all really appeared. I not only took out my money out but also my activity here on Steemit. because I didn't see it being worth it. Since then I have remained objectively critic to steem and it's course. But now, it actually looks like the train switched tracks and we are heading in the right direction once again. That is just my 2 cents, or shall I say 16?

This is, of course, thanks to the community but most of all the projects that are taking the great initiative here on the steem blockchain. I don't mind betting on you guys to make this possible or if really so, losing a bit of money on this buying opportunity I am having here. We are at a bottom that really soon cannot go further down(0.00$). It's here make it or break it from here.

I guess I always have had an emotional attachment to steem since it's where I started writing and had my entrance to crypto. I am crossing my fingers here guys, you all have been doing amazing work so far!
