Do you believe in the future of steem?

If you have been on steem for a certain time, you can't help to notice that life on steem is on the decline. Following the price of the currency, there are less and less posts written and also fewer people being active on the blockchain.

Compairing to the tons of inovations that we saw around half year ago, we also need to accept that there are fewer novelties around now.

Is there any future for steem?

At the moment the blockchain is dominated by the people who are heavily invested into it and don't want to loose their stake. On the other hand there is a unfortunate "downvote" war on the way that doesn't help in any ways.

When people speak about onboarding the masses, it seems to be going to other way round. People who were active on the blockchain tend to leave it for several reasons. Creators don't manage to make some money with their posts. Maybe they are discouraged by what they feel are undeserving downvotes. Investors power down seeing that their stake is loosing in value continuously. Curators realize that curation is very time consuming and in the end it comes down to find something worth upvoting.

SMT's the silverlining on the horizon?

Some hope comes from a place where one wasn't expecting much from in the past, from steemit inc. With the technical development of SMT there seems to be a silverlining on the horizon.

How do you feel about steem?

What is your own attitude towards the blockchain and steem? Do you believe that we will manage the turn around in terms of prices and also in terms of activity?
