The future of Steem
Hey all!
This certainly has been an interesting week for me. With the announcement of the acquisition and the press releases, it surely has felt like a whirlwind. I am still learning details alongside the rest of the community and I’m hopeful things will become more and more clear as time moves forward.
Tron has something I feel Steem so desperately needs — marketing capabilities. There are many ways I can see this acquisition going very well for both Tron and Steem. Steem has really proven itself to be the vehicle that reshapes how social media is done. We’ve had so many engineering successes and very little hype. This all could potentially change in the near future and that is very exciting.
During my nearly two years working on the chain, I have been so impressed with the technical skills and passion this community has demonstrated. I am confident that you all are able to make tough decisions when necessary and I want you all to know that I am here to support you — whatever that entails.
Although the route may be unclear, I am sure that we can all work through the unknowns and continue the path forward together. Let’s Steem on!

Thank you for speaking out and letting everyone know where you stand. I always choose positivity over negativity and like you said Steem + marketing and Justin can lead to great things. That's what I am hoping for and will fight for.
Glad to see you active again. We need to push this through in a positive direction.

I think we were all a little desperate not to have any communication from Steemit, even to at least tell us that for some (understandable) reasons, you have been told not to communicate.
The message you send us, your passion for this project and your commitment to stay involved, is most comforting.

Thanks for all you do Steve. The work you and everyone else at Steemit Inc do is really incredible. I know you guys have been killing it on SMTs of late. Tons of github activity. That is how I knew you guys were blindsided by this just like the rest of us.

@ned sold the name STEEMIT, but you people are the main root of it! I wish @justinsunsteemit will not try to dead STEEM and build something weird. Thank you for speaking out Steve. Yes I agree! Steem and Tron together can do great things, because Steem never had the hype that surrounds Tron, but it has a great technology and an even greater community.

But Steemit is not Steem. If the Steem blockchain can be bought, then it's not truly decentralized and the entire premise is basically fraudulent.
