With steem prices collapsed how to stay motivated?
The prices of cryptocurrencies have plummeted, the crypto market is a real madness these days, the hopes and predictions of some "experts" who predicted a price recovery by the end of the year, plummets with the price of BTC that is dragging down most cryptocurrencies that also fluctuate at the rate Bitcoin plays.
The crypto market is demonstrating that it is really unpredictable and extremely capricious, it seems that there is no pattern to follow, the behavior that at a given moment comes to repeat twice or three times and that we can take as a pattern, then it shows rebellious and it does not appear again, and not only that, but it can also take a totally different direction leaving us baffled.
What motivates us to keep up?
I have come to think that publications that show predictions, good projections and advice on how to help recover the price of steem, rather than credible analysis and mathematical conclusions, are based on our deep desire for this to happen.
Perhaps this feeling is accentuated more when you have invested money in this, which is not my case, it is true, I strongly wish that steem recovers its price and can benefit from the work I do since my condition does not allow me to invest, however , I bet there is a recovery in prices.
With all this there are people who continue to invest in steem, as if it were the big business people keep the faith that steem will bring good profits in response to their investment.

Many people came to steem to do business, people with a business vision and a business sense of smell saw in this chain the opportunity to bring their company to develop business here, which did not bring a company, started some type of business in the blockchain, In any case, I don't know if steem is now profitable to establish businesses, however, there are still initiatives that have the steem chain and its cryptocurrency as the foundation of its economic activity.

In this line I include myself, right now I have no possibilities of investing, I am also not an expert in these investment topics, my contribution to this platform is the creation of content in which I am focused at the moment.
It is true that many content creators have left the activity on the platform, while others have slowed down, but it is also a reality that many of us are still here maintaining a constant publication rate or even, in some cases increasing the frequency of our publications. .

Particularly I arrived here in search of income, although I could not enjoy steem at its maximum historical level, I arrived and fell in love with the system, met valuable people, read and continued reading publications that make me hope that a better future awaits us on steem .
Beyond the current prices, what makes me keep up in my publications is the deep desire that prices improve and this translates into benefits for my family, plus a component of faith accompanies me that makes me believe that everything is going to improve here.
Another thing that makes me believe, is that steemit is the No. 1 platform in its style, I have seen people migrate looking for similar options, testing projects that are sold as the best and have had to return again to continue publishing on this blockchain because these Projects quickly deflate.

Really, the stock market (either in the Traditional Stock Exchange or in the Cryptocurrency Stock Market) is quite unpredictable and tends to surprise every moment.
I like your optimism and I want to share that point of view. I came to this network out of curiosity and I have kept generating content, partly because of the vision that every now and then I have news about the development of a new Dapps in STEEM and elsewhere because here I feel a sense of community a little closer than in other social networks where he published from time to time.
Anyway, I would like the market to recover, although I am not a great investor and it does not seem to affect me much, but it would help make the network attractive and benefit its adoption of new members, at least I think so.

@fucho80, First of all i have to say that #Steem is driven by people and here we see more natural and organic discussions instead of Artificial one.
In my opinion Steem is just not a token where we have to see it's price all the time. Steem is Application Centric Blockchain where we are getting an opportunity to explore world of applications and on top of that Reward is just a bonus.
In a way everyone is a contributor in some way and that gives the Sense Of Belongingness. There is so much to say for sure.

You are right the prices are getting lower, many have left because they do not understand the system, in principle I saw a very simple pyramid where everyone won but the biggest wins more as always.
However, I happen to fall in love with the system as it works and I do not deny that in principle I was very skeptical, imagine that you do not know Steem and tell you that you are paid to publish anything... I say this because that's how they told me.

Indeed for many people staying motivated on steemit those days can be very challenging. I myself am having difficult time in creating content. Mostly because I've realized that since HF21 took place, most people do not bother to write comments since there is no incentive to do so. So engagement rate is constantly dropping.
I see it as platform similar to linkedin. Where I can get to know people from industry I'm investing my time and energy. Platform allowing me to transfer funds between users. Somethingt that linkedin doesn't do.
