Is this the END of STEEM As We Know it? ABSOLUTELY.

Definitely!

How we move forward from here will shape the future or lack there of of this blockchain.

I have been reading none-stop content regarding this STEEM/TRON Merge and the one thing that I can say with certainity is, this is the end of STEEM as we know/ knew it. Whether the turn is for good or bad, it's not going to be the same moving forward.

Does it make me sad?

Unfortunately Yes.

I have been here for so many months and experienced so much change in the course of that time. However, the only thing that gave me confidence in this platform was the fact that we were working towards the same goal. Right now, it's starting to seem like a tag of war, nobody seems to be sure of the way forward or what to expect here on.

It's been unfortunate to see some of the community leaders we voted for try to drag this platform to its death, because that is literally what is going to happen should this steem/tron token swap take place. I loved the original steem and what it stood for, I am not sure the merge with tron is going to uphold that same vision, if it doesn't too bad.

So....What's the way forward for content creators?

If you goal is to keep on earning from your content, I say the change may not be as bad, perhaps there might even be a chance to earn more. Just maybe your heart will not be at home as it is now. I know I won't. STEEM has been my number 1 go-to content creation platform. Without it it's hard to imagine creating content for another platform. I imagine it will be the same for many other content creators. We also tried to support other "STEEM Clone" but at the end of the day, we always put this blockchain first.

This I feel maybe the end of STEEM as we currently know it. And in as much as I'd like to think we can recover from this and still push forward as the united community we are, I lack a vivid vision of that possibility. Only time will tell. Until then, let's keep hoping for the best.

Do You Think this is the End of STEEM as we Know it?

I wouldn't be so quick to write steem off.
It is possible that community members step up and take back our control of the chain.

Nothing changes until a hardfork changes it.
Until then the rules are the same as up to this point.

The next two forks will determine our destinies.
Maybe the next one, already in the works, is innocuous towards users, but i wouldn't bet that the one after that will be.

Time will tell us.
Depending on what the next fork contains, i am holding off on jumping off any cliffs.
