I am hosting a contest. Please participate in it, no matter how large of a user you consider yourself to be.
STEEM is my favorite blockchain, one that I actually use. I can put my own content into its blocks because I have STEEM POWER. My power produces Resource Credits which give me the right to transact on this powerful piece of infrastructure.
I can transact however I want on STEEM, and no one can do anything about it. Everyone with STEEM POWER is free to respond, whether through comment, vote or flag.. But no one can remove my content from the blocks. I am an OWNER. This is my blockchain. And right now I want to know more about my brethren here.
One of the most exciting possibilities on STEEM for 'mass adoption', in my opinion, is CONTESTS. A contest is just a participatory format, or framework, to structure content and the participation around that content. A great example is @improv's classic and ongoing Punday Monday Contest, which I think has great potential to open up to users across the internet.
Unfortunately, there has been a tendency on STEEM for larger users to avoid participating in contests. An exception would be @theycallmedan's highly successful delegation contest - in which users from across the platform swarmed together to win a 10,000 SP delegation.
I am am working on something that I think is pretty epic in scale, and I want to call out some larger users to come and participate.
I am running the #buildbetter Contest, where participants nominate projects, communities, applications, funds, and other ideas being built on STEEM. Weekly, these nominations win SBI units from me, but each project that get's nominated in this phase will also be added to the sign-up list for the second, closed period.
During the future closed period, projects that have signed up will compete head to head for the growing grand prize, currently standing at 574 SBI units.
This week's contest is going to stay open until Monday, as today I just published my official spanish translation that I can refer to in future issues; I will continue to accept entries in both english and spanish language. With special consideration I will even consider spanglish.
Please take some time to nominate a quality project being built on the #steem blockchain. Make sure your favorite projects make it on the sign up list before open registration ends!

In each contest post I maintain a list of the projects that have been nominated at least once within the open period. Being on that list is like 'sign up' for a future, closed phase of the contest.
Okay. One more question ... Do we have to only write the name and share the link of the project or the reason to do so is also required for the nomination?
The minimum requirements are very simple information about the project, but I do appreciate more information such as reasons for the nomination or other considerations!

Hello, I would like to submit the HoboDAO project for this contest.
What Is The HoboDAO?
The HoboDAO is a unique way to create a decentralized curation community on the Steem blockchain. We plan to utilize the capability of Steem accounts to provide multiple access keys to a Steem account (@hobo.media) in order to create a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) on Steem. This allows us to form a decentralized collective that works as a team to select high quality content for curation rewards and other additional benefits.
The HoboDAO's Mission
The empowerment of indie authors is a very good thing that has advanced free speech, expression and information sharing. Steem is another one of these indie publishing tools that assist the movement of free expression.
There is just one drawback with freely available publishing tools, content quantity can drown out the higher quality content. Steem utilizes a content filtering system called Proof of Brain powered by a stake-weighted voting system in order to address this. However, this technique devalues the voices of those that do not have large stake.
The purpose of the HoboDAO is to support quality informative blogging and independent journalism within the Steem blockchain in a fair content evaluating contest system.

This is a great article and speaks to the power of the steem blockchain. The resource credit system and moving transactions fast and essentially free is amazing. Which is why i want to nominate the Bitcoin MYK project this week. The project is already receiving votes on the sps system. The project can potentially bring $1.7 billion we project to the steem blockchain. This would make Steem a top 10 cryptocurrency with an astronomical valuation. This is data tested based on not only a type of bitcoin fork run on the steem blockchain. It also deflates on a 1 to 1 ratio against trade volume making it a possible great situation for investors. Any unclaimed bitcoin tokens supply a type of ubi to all other users on the platform. We're very excited about this project and in a 3 point plan hits all major issues of the steem blockchain. There are many wonderful projects on the STEEM Blockchain. One that has long had my support with a modest delegation is @dlux-io. It is @dlux-io which is my entry to your contest.
dlux-io describe themselves as a "Decentralized Limitless User eXperiences".
Their banner ad goes into more detail....
Basically it is a 3D dapp which scales from mobile to browser to VR goggles, which allow users to create rich 3D Environments with 3D Meshed Objects.
