Delegating is simply donating your Steem Power (SP) temporary to other users and accounts. It's temporary because you could remove the delegation at any time you want. Granted, there's a wait period of 7 days before it's returned to your wallet. You can learn more about delegations in this article.

Simply put, you can delegate to certain accounts to get passive reward through their accounts or you could delegate to simply help your friends, those you support, or others to boost their accounts' voting power. There are two ways you can go by delegating your SP.

By Wallet

Simply go to your wallet and login (or use your Key Manager Client like Steem Keychain), open the dropdown for SP, and you can select delegate to give you a prompt asking you how much you want to delegate.

By Steem Bot Tracker

You can simply go to Steen Bot Tracker's website, go to Tools tab, and click Delegation Manager. There, just type in your username name and hit load to see any accounts you are delegating to if any. Under the Add / Update Delegation section, type in the name of who you are delegating to (or undelegating from) and type in the box under it the amount you want delegated to them. Then click delegate will take you to an SteemConnect page to confirm actions.
Note: The number you type here is not adding or subtracting SP, it's simply what amount is delegated. So if you are say delegating 1000 to an account, and you typed in "0", it will remove all delegated SP!
