Now as far as DApps go, there's a LOT about this topic. If you're interested about the really possibly exciting future of this and want to learn more of the technical details of this, just click here. But I'm here to just summarize things as simple as a I can especially since once again, I'm not the most technologically advanced wolf here so I don't know about this fully and still learning. X3

DApps or decentralized apps as best as I can summarize it are basically open source decentralized applications that incentivizes you with token for actions, services or use of certain resources. Basically the overall goal for these apps is one day you get paid to do just about anything since we recognize the value of folk's time, their work, or use of resources (tangible or intangible).

But lets talk about the DApps here! What the ones derived off this STEEM blockchain does is I would say essentially enhance the overall platform experience and features. They range from media platforms like:

  • DTube - A decentralized video sharing platform, basically very much like and an alternative to Youtube.
  • 3speak - Another decentralized video sharing platform.
  • nTopaz - An art posting platform, a little like an Devianart/Instagram. (Unfortunately as January 31, 2020, this DApp has ceased operations.)

...to games, and even to everyday activities like:

  • Splinterlands - A digital card game like Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone.
  • Actifit - A DApp that rewards you for your everyday active activities.

...or even Steemit interface alternatives are considered DApps like:

There is of course many more DApps out there and many more to come. All of these applications can be logged in with your Steem private keys. For platforms like DTube and nTopaz, these also add their tags to your tag list, but you can only use these by posting directly on those platforms which can be automatically cross-posted to Steemit.

If you want to discover the big wonderful world of DApps, you can look through this site HERE!

So, I think that's all for a beginners guide for postings. Now let's hop on over to curations!
