More Magnet Fishing Finds

Went out with my son again today and we hooked some real big fish.

This piece of angle iron is about 5 feet long.

Also got this piece of cast iron pipe. It's about 2 feet long and probably 6-8 inches diameter.

It's got some writing on it, but it doesn't mean anything to me.

But the big find of the day was this bike. A whole bike (minus front wheel), pulled from the river.

On Monday when the police station opens back up, I'll call them to see if anyone reported it stolen. If no one claims it I guess we get to keep it? It seems in good shape, except for the missing wheel and waterlogged seat.

WOW! Those are some awesome finds. That bike isn't bad at all. I can only imagine how much that cast iron pipe weighs. Must have been a strong magnet.

It's got a 400 lb pull strength. I don't know a lot about how that relates to lifting pipes out of the river, but I would guess that pipe weighs 30 pounds?

That is crazy! If no one claims the bike I would try to sell what is left of it. It is cool you are cleaning the river while you “fish”.
