Splinterlands Vs Steemmonsters

IMG_20200202_152100.jpg

Disclaimer of sorts

Steemmonsters was rebranded as Splinterlands, I´m just showing the evolution of the same game.

They decided to rebrand the game because could be more accessible to the masses and also because 'Steam', the gaming platform already exists,
'Steem' became confusing.

Hello fellows players, today I´m going to talk about a big debate. Two powered games build on blockchain technology with a big difference and crazy analogies about each other.

First of all, both are built on the steem blockchain, a great community is around social media blockchain, one of then stay forever on steem and the other integrate more blockchains communities.

Steemmonsters was an tradeable card game built on STEEM blockchain ,a very few games uses that king of revolutionary technology but the interface was so crazy and also funny compare with Splinterlands.
Some card look like cartoons and drawings of a 3 years old boy.

Splinterlands is also a game built with blockchain technology but the diference is the big integration of many crypto project around the world like tron, ethereum, wax.io and many others, trying to bring people inside this crazy world of splinters that fight for the glory and fame.

In other fact Splinterlands create a world of options creating new series of card like the reward edition (when a player earn card just for doing daily quest and every season ends) even create a token for every battle that any player wins (Dark Energy Cristals) a currency of inner game tradeable in other blockchains, Steemmonsters just use steem and the best part is Untamed edition cards.

Cards

Steemmonsters just had two series of cards: Alfa and Beta.
Beta was the evolution of Alfa edition so are the same cards, a few of them are brand new cards and decided to leave Steemmonsters and move to Splinterlands (lol).

Splinterlands haves son many interesting and amazing cards with very hilarious designs,I almost cry watching of all of them (my favorite cards are Dark Ha´on, Contessa L´ament and Fire Element).

Talking about the design just make my head blow up, Splinterlands have different card editions series Alfa, Beta (those two moves to Splinterlands), Promo, Reward and the brand new series Untamed.

Steemmonsters did something amazing on his better days, makes that a crypto community built a great project and consolidates a new form of interaction between games and the still unknown blockchain technology.

It encourages many to see finances like something fun and others just love to collect cards.

Thanks to Steemmonsters I meet Splinterlands

When I finally decided to start playing I found that I already had an account since may 2018 and I though why if I never played Splinterlands them I realized that Steemmonsters used to be the old name of Splinterlands that was rebranded like ten months ago.

Conclusion

Steem community, this blockchain have gave a lot, before that I was trying to look for good articles but all that I fun on tradiciional social media was memes and photos of cats, steem have a very incredible potential and Splinterlands/Steemmonsters are (is) the proof of a great way of investment without losing (well if you don´t play you lose).

This is the year of Splinterlands, we have a big community that is growing but we have to spreed the word outside of steem to make people came in to steem.

How to play? Make a post on how to play this game and this way you can teach a new player to play this game on steem.

Hey, @yonilkar!

This is a great article... but SUPER confusing.

STEEMMONSTERS IS SPLINTERLANDS.

You are literally comparing the first year to the current year of the EXACT SAME GAME.

We decided to rebrand so we could be more accessible to the masses... and because 'Steam', the gaming platform already exists, 'Steem' became confusing.

By changing to Splinterlands we removed the confusion (hopefully). Unfortunately, it seems folks are still very confused.

If you wanted to edit this post and put in a disclaimer of sorts at the beginning... EXPLAINING you are simply showing the PROGRESS and CHANGES of this ONE game, tag me! I'll come upvote you. But for now, I think it's much too confusing... and not really a comparison.

Ok I understand, I did not knew that, even I was confusing about the game a year ago.
I just wanted to show the evolution of the game.
I did it and shared that fact, thanks

Yay! Thank you for fixing it! It's much clearer now (especially for new folks who've never heard of either).

Hugs!😍@carrieallen
