Hello, I am sorry that I am a bit late with this post. I got busy at work right now due to a new project. I still will do the giveaways just a few days late. I am going over some of the rewards cards that I missed due to working on the new set of cards. For these posts I am just going to go over 3 cards as not as many rares came out as commons. Still, give me some feedback on the cards or the game and you can win 500 DEC. I hope you saw my recap of all my reviews. Check it out if you want. Time to get to the review of a few new cards that should be helpful to a lot of us.

I wanted to start with a powerful card. Silversheild Assassin is just that. It might not seem like that when you get your first one. 7 cost and 1 attack. But take a look at the stats page and you might see the power this card has. That power really starts to kick in at level 5. Before that, you might not think the card is worth the cost. Once it has double strike and poison with two attack it can deal up to 6 damage a turn. At least kind of with the last two starting in the next round. Once it is max level you get that extra attack that makes it 8. All a sudden the 7 cost doesn't look as bad. The double strike with poison is really good. A poison monster needs to land the poison to be strong in a battle. The extra attack makes sure that poison will happen a lot more often. You will need high mana matches to use the card but when you can fit it into a nice team it will be strong.

Boogeyman is not that new but is a nice card. At 6 cost he will be used in higher mana matches but that good due to his abilities. His magic attack might seem low but the nice part about that is he won't reflect himself to death. Higher HP means one sniper won't get him. Then look at how he affects the game. Slow, Rust, and Demoralize are great. Armor can be an issue for death teams so Rust is a good one. Then he can let death pull of double slow and double demoralize easily. Can combo for tripled slow sometimes. You will need to team him up with some hard hitters to counter that lower magic damage. Still, I am trying to work him into my team more often. It works well when you can double slow. That can win you games sometimes. Any card that can help you get an easy win is good to have.

Octospider is a part of the reason death is a good team for 99 mana matches. Most people thing Dragon is best for that. But Death can hang with them. 8 mana is a lot for this guy but he packs a big punch with 5 ranged damage. He gets blind a skill that I see work well. Add in demoralize and he is a great last position card. Any sneak melee will be weaken and take a lot of attacks to kill him. It can be even better when he is making them miss with blind. There are very few return fire tanks. That is another bonus to the ranged guys on death. His speed is not bad at all with getting to 4 early on and 5 if you max him out. He is also one of the few cards that unlocks all abilities before max level. If you play death this is a good card to make sure you have at max level for your team.

Thank you for letting me win!

I like how you try picked out reward cards to review since they are likely owned by most players.

The Assassin works great when I add in monsters with Inspire like Silvershield Knight or Enchanted Pixie. The high mana cost is somewhat of a drag but like you mentioned the double strike and poison at higher levels make this card more lethal.

Boogeyman to me is also somewhat questionable in use. I more often apply it when I have a combination of magic monsters in succession. Works okay with Dark Enchantress, Fallen Specter, Death Elemental, Darkest Mage and Phantom Solider. I do think the high mana and the fact that its speed is 1 makes the slow ability kind weak. If it had snipe this card would be at least an epic!

I have Octopider used like you mention in high mana matches. It is really nice to have as a back end monster due to the high health. It can withstand most sneak abilities monsters very well. The abilities are just icing on cake. Reduce melee. This is a solid back end tank monster.

Ya know, I have both those Death cards but haven't really given them the good college try. But yes, the Silvershield Assassin. I like her. It may be because I've been working on drawing her, but she's all pretty badass.
