Today we've got a trio of rare Earth Splinter cards to check out. These are the UNICORN MUSTANG, CHILD OF THE FOREST, and KHMER PRINCESS.

First up we have the UNICORN MUSTANG, a tank card. At 8 mana, this is an expensive card to run. Is it worth it?

With both Reflect and Void at level 5, this looks to be a decent anti-magic tank. Maxed out, it has a meaty 13 health, great damage, and also the piercing ability, but no armor to speak of. Looking over my deck at my other Earth tanks, I can't really justify putting any resources into upgrading this card. For now I'm just going to hang onto them and not combine them.

Verdict: Keep for now and re-evaluate later. Sell the gold foil.

Next up we've got a low mana ranged sniper card. To date, the only Earth Splinter ranged sniper I've seen has been the Legendary SPIRIT OF THE FOREST from the Beta. This card seems to be a good low mana proxy.

Maxed out the damage is on par with the EARTH ELEMENTAL from the Beta edition, but this card is quite a bit quicker. It also introduces the Snare ability, just like the Neutral MANTOID. I would definitely be interested in upgrading this card to round out the ranged capabilities for Earth Splinter. In the near term, I'd want to get it to level 5 in order to take advantage of the Snare ability.

My 26 cards combined together just inches us past level 4. This card is already spendy, so it will be fairly expensive to level. I don't see it as critical though, so I'll get to it when I can.

Verdict: Keep and upgrade to level 5. Sell the gold foils.

Last in line is the KHMER PRINCESS, a another low mana magic caster similar to the ICE PIXIE, but more support-focused. It's funny to me that Khmer was chosen and not some fictional name, since it's the name of the people and language of Cambodia. Was this by design?

Holy crap, would you take a look at that! A tank healer that also has Triage that only uses 2 mana?! Overpowered per chance? I'm sold.

Saying I'd like a maxed out one would be an understatement, but I'll definitely settle for the 2-mana tank healer my 27 cards has bought me. At the current price of $0.50 per card, this is an expensive rare card. It may take a while to get Triage.

Verdict: Keep and upgrade ASAP.
