Splinterlands Untamed | Lvl 5 Common SERPENTINE SPY and CURSED SLIMEBALL Evaluation

This time around we got a two-fer. The SERPENTINE SPY from the fire splinter, and the CURSED SLIMEBALL from the death splinter.

First up, we have the SERPENTINE SPY. Right out of the gate he's got decent damage and the 'opportunity' ability. Opportunity is a special kind of sneak ability, where he can attack the monster with the lowest health. In other words, he plays dirty!

He does 4 damage at level 8, and gains the poison ability when maxed out at level 10. I'm not sure how useful poison will be if who he goes after is already almost dead, but I suppose that would be at the very beginning of the fight. At a minimum this is worth keeping and leveling to 8. This guy paired with some other sneakers can do mess of damage to the back ranks, especially in 'little league' matches.

Combining all the cards gets us halfway to level 6 and 3 damage. Those stats are good enough to pair with maxed out cards, so I could see using him on occasion. The gold version I'm just going to trade for some more upgrades to existing cards.

Verdict: Keep and upgrade to level 8 minimum (Sell the gold one)

Next we have the CURSED SLIMEBALL, another 1 mana card reminiscent of the CREEPING OOZE

The similarities end there, because the CURSED SLIMEBALL has a new ability called 'redemption'. Upon his death (when he reaches level 6), the CURSED SLIMEBALL does 2 damage to all the enemies. For a 1 mana card, I can see all sorts of creative uses, so I'll definitely want one that's at least level 6.

When I combine my 79 Slimeballs from the Kickstarter, I'm 21 cards away from the goal! I also have 5 gold foil ones, which I think I'll hang on to and possibly lease out. I could see this card as a sacrificial card placed in advance of the tank, to soften up the enemy in the first round.

Verdict:Keep and upgrade to level 6 minimum. Hang on to the gold foils for now.

I think cursed slime all is overpowered. It could do 12 damage in first round and combined with Death health reduction cards wipe out all enemies with less than 5 health.

Yeah definitely seems that way! I haven't encountered one yet. Hopefully there's a good counter to it or they nerf it a little bit.
