Two more cards from the Untamed Kickstarter drop. The LONE BOATMAN from the Life Splinter, and the ORC SERGEANT from the EARTH Splinter.

Cards 533-612/2500

First of the two, is the LONE BOATMAN from the Life Splinter, which I pulled 79 cards (and 1 gold foil). He's a boatman, he's lone. There has to be some cultural reference I'm missing. He comes with the snipe ability right away, so perhaps he's the Splinterlands version of a Navy Seal Sniper!

Our Navy Seal sniper does some great things with armor too. He repairs it at level 5, and he shatters it when maxed out. I could see him being a pesky opponent against armored ranged monsters, especially as part of a sniper duo. He is a bit spendy in terms of mana, so the jury is still out on this one.

Combining my 79 cards together gets me almost halfway to level 6. He already has repair armor at this point, so I could use him as a sniping replacement to the ARMORSMITH from the Promo set.

Verdict: Keep and see what happens (sell the gold foil)

Cards 613-675/2500

The second card we have to examine is the ORC SERGEANT from the Earth Splinter. He's mean, he's ugly, he'll make you fold hospital corners! We only got 60 of them, boohoo.

The first few levels are nothing to write home about, and his maxed out damage is in line with other reach cards. I guess the inspire might be useful after leveling up to 6, but I'm kind of meh about this one too. His mana cost is pretty high, and he has no armor to boot.

My 60 cards gets me to level 5 on the nose. There is absolutely no reason for me to chose this guy over my maxed out Beta MINOTAUR WARRIOR, so this joe is going to sit on the shelf for a long time while I upgrade stuff that moves the needle more. Sorry sarge.

Verdict: Keep for now (sell the golds)
