Greetings to all, draw for the Splinterlands art contest this cocatrice, this monsters is the mixture between a bird and a species of dragon. I show you the final drawing:

Step by Step

The first thing was to draw the design with graphite pencils, use pencils 6B, 3B, HB, Eraser, White sheet. Then digitize the drawing with a scanner.

Using this drawing as a reference I proceeded to make the lineart, I used the Medibang Paint Pro software, I used the pen brush. I show you some images of this process. The first thing I outlined was the head but I changed the original drawing a little.

The next step was the lineart of the body and wings.

Finish with the lineart of the legs and tail.

Giving color to the drawing

To color the drawing use the paint bucket tool, with brown colors for the head with a gradient to red at the end of the feathers. I colored the beak in yellow and the tongue with a dark violet tone.

The body including the tail was colored brown.

The wings were colored in green and the legs in a yellow tone.

Finally add dark areas for shadows and some light details.

For the final work I added a background with a gradient of brown to very light blue with some shadows under the cocatrice.
