[Steem Proposal] Tool whichs involves community into steem development
We need a tool which leverages conversation between devs/ witnesses and the steem community.
There is so much information about how to improve this platform floathing around, we really should collect these ideas.
Many great thinkers already left this platform, because their ideas and through-thought plans didnt get any attention.
In these years since steem's beginning, they lost hope. But we're still just at the beginning.
We shouldn't allow to loose this value.. And I don't mean the price.
Therefore we need a tool, which leverages the users/ community in terms of the steem development.
Collecting ideas, conversation/ debate about these ideas, self-government, SPS - organized and easier to read about/ participate.
I don't really know how it should look like, but I'm thinking of a combination of TokenBB Forum, Steempeak SPS, DAO, .. as a start.
Many debates already happened about how such a tool should look like, which then just disappeared into the endless blockchain.
People don't know where to look and how to organize, which also proofs the need of such a tool.
There already are great discord servers by steem devs and also by the community. But they need to be combined. Also I don't know if a chatroom is the best solution for organizing ideas.. We need an on-chain solution.
The community already starts to care.
Investors too.

Stakeholders vs. Users
Our community needs to realize that we need both groups in order to be successful.
Users need stakeholders to buy STEEM in order for their rewards to have any value.
Users also need stakeholders to vote on their content if they want to earn any rewards.
Stakeholders need users to be telling all of their friends and family about how great this place is in order to draw more people to the platform.
Stakeholders also need users to produce quality content that attracts outside eyeballs to Steem and shows off the potential of our platform.
We also really need a good tool, which combines SPS, DAO, Devs and Community!
I think if we first focus on intrinsic/ improving ourselves (the platform) and truly become a decentralized ecosystem (Proof-of-Brain), we can accomplish outter goals way better and faster - also fight abuse more efficiently and just be prepared.
We need self-improving /-governing and/-protecting mechanisms.
We are so close to creating a sustainable, really decentralized ecosystem.. "Proof-of-Brain" Let's make this "dream" real.
I've created a SPS to raise money for development of such a tool.
For the beginning I've set my account as receiver (want to at least compensate my 10 SBD to create the Proposal) but as soon as there is enough attention and ask for such a tool by the community I'll create a community-account, which will be the new SPS fund receiver.
I'm not the most techy person, but that's also we why need such a tool - to combine all kind of persons with the aim to improve our platform.
Hope for some debates/ ideas and opinions. I will update this post from time to time.

They need to integrate this tool into steempeak when it comes out ok 👌
Forum type systems will be pretty nice to make after the moderation abilities of the community protocols. That's what we're waiting for.

I agree, the community is so fractured, a steemit chat room here would spice things up if we could vote in the chat too and post emojis and stuff, create private rooms etc.?, encrypted chat messages? Stuff like that, set up big DAO to pay for it all!
I think we just need a point to start. We dont even have a place to collect, sort and debate about ideas like urs..
Ofc you can do that on the chain. But most people just wont see it.. and will always start from the beginning, as if noone here ever has some ideas about that.
We need a central place to organize, have conversation, collect ideas, share knowledge and also clarify elemental knowledge to minnows.
Every good community/ decentralized project has a good forum. - We can even build something fancier (cuz our technology) ;)

Sounds like a good idea, but not sure about voting for a proposal without much planning into it, sorry.
Not to rag on the idea / motivation, though. Make another post detailing either a team, some mockups, or just some general guidelines & tag me, I'll have another look and consider voting again.

We first need to work these things out. Community-open and involved. But we also need to start.. some time.. finally..
From nothing comes nothing.
This community needs to start walking on its own feet. Stop running after authorities.

I understand that, I get ya. But when it comes to proposals, this community also needs to be careful and vote on those which seem the most trust-worthy.
A good way of building that trust is to lay out plans. Plans don't need authority or elite-ism to set out, and are accessible to everyone.
