Bangladesh U19 All Set To Play Their First World Cup Final

in sportstalk •  4 months ago

This might come as a surprise to many but the Bangladeshi U19 team has made it to the finals of the World Cup. While their senior team is struggling against Pakistan but that isn't the case with juniors. Perhaps a lesson for their senior team to learn.

They defeated New Zealand in the semi-finals and now will be facing India. India is perhaps the strongest team of the tournament and it won't be easy for Bangladesh to defeat them but at least they will put up a fight.

Bangladesh's mainstay of the match was Mahmud Hasan Joy who played an excellent knock and brought up his ton to secure a win for Bangladesh. He looked in control throughout the innings and was never troubled by any Kiwi bowler.

New Zealand batsmen got starts but were not able to convert them into big scores and as a result, they could only manage 211 runs. However, India is a different team, they have quality bowlers and quality batsmen. Right now, it looks like a one-sided affair in the final but let's see if Bangladesh can flip the odds.
