Xhaka agrees terms with Hertha Berlin

Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka is believed to have agreed to join Hertha Berlin this coming transfer window in January.

Xhaka will be heading back to the Bundesliga according to rumours circulating which was also claimed to have been made by Xhaka's agent.

Rumours last week suggest Hertha coach Jurgen Klinsmann was hoping to sign Xhaka in January.

Arsenal paid a wooping £35m in 2016 to Borussia Monchengladbach before bringing Xhaka to the Emirates Stadium.

It is believed that Xhaka and his agent have informed Arsenal board and the current coach Mikel Arteta about the development.

This decision will leave Arsenal short in the midfield except they will recall their midfielder Mohamed Elneny from his loan spell

Xhaka and every player were given a clean slate by Arteta to try and impress him. This earned Xhaka a spot in Arteta's lineup against Bournemouth. The match ended 1-1 after Arsenal were initially trailing by 1 goal.

Arteta will probably delay this transfer and hope Xhaka changes his mind. This is due to the fact that he is a player Arteta likes and he once recommended him to Pep Guardiola's Machester City side.

Xhaka switch from Emirates to Hertha is partially understable considering his controversial lips movement that was captured on camera after he was substituted in the Crystal Palace match.

He later explained that his life and that of his family were threatened by some fans due to his poor form. Xhaka was stripped off his captaincy following the incident and was on sideline for a while before he was later introduced in an Europa match.

Hertha Berlin are currently 12th in the Bundesliga table which is four points off the relegation play-off place.
