Chambers and Arsenal defensive woes

Arsenal is battling with defensive problem as many players who are currently injured play at the back.

Rob Holding just came back from injury, Kolasinac is injured, Hector Bellerin is injured and Kieran Tierney.

This is a major concern for Arteta and Arsenal as a whole. A team who is still struggling to get its form is suffering in a position that is crucial to the success of the game.

Calum Chambers picked up an injury in Chelsea's match and this has now become a massive blow for Arsenal.

Unfortunately, Calum ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee in the match. He had a surgery today and it was successful.

The problem now is the rehabilitation process which is expected to take between six to nine months.

It practically means he is out of the season. That is a blow for us because we are very short at the defense.

Our best option now is to have an alternative which we can only do in this January window. Thankfully Arteta knows this and he mentioned it in his press conference today.

But as a coach, he will not want to say much about it and considering the fact that he wont want to disrupt or disorganise his team. But everybody who is not even Arsenal supporter knows we need to buy players.

Arteta and Edu need to be very active during this transfer window to help current our defensive woes. We cannot continue to suffer like we did in previous games before the Manchester United game.

We need strong and solid back-four who can help keep clean sheets as many as we can get and especially at the Emirates.
