Perugia Defeats Portuguese Top Volleyball Team, Benfica In The Men's Volleyball Champions League
As we all know, the CEV men's volleyball champions league is currently on, where top teams across Europe would participate in and try to beat the very best to be crowned the champions of europe in respect to volleyball.
Benfica went all the way, at least from the first set of the game against Perugia but could not keep up with the pace and tenacity of the home side of Perugia. The game ended 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-19) in favour of Perugia.
Other teams who won their first game were Berlin Recycling Volleys, Kuzbass Kemerevo, Jihostroj České Budějovice, Greenyard Maaseik, Verva Warszawa Orlen Paliwa and others. At this point, the competition doesnt have a clear favourite as all the teams are known for their respective skill they possess as well as their very different styles of play.
