Hopes were high as well as expectations when the news of Neymar, returning to Barcelona was in circulation. The player had only spent 2 years in paris where things didnt go so well for him. His problems ranged from injuries to getting into trouble for his antics / remarks towards officials and fans alike.
But at the end of the day, the deal didnt see the light of the day, despite all the efforts the player made. Such failure could be linked to a disagreement both teams had during negotiations.

However Barca defender, Gerard Pique has told us what happened at their end during the whole saga. He revealed how all the players came to agreement to accepting pay-cuts in their respective wages as a result of fifa's fair play policy when it came to how teams spend funds and utimately, because they wanted to see Neymar at barcelona.
