Fitness: 4th August 2021 + A Did You Know Fitness Question

Good Morning

I am quite happy with how productive I was yesterday, and I plan to replicate the same today. I think I have already started in the right sense as I’ve got my physical and mind exercises done. That’s got to be a great beginning to the day.

Today, I plan to get done with a good amount of work that I was hoping to get done for a long time now. It is about time. Let’s see how it goes. I will update that by tomorrow anyway.

But aren’t we talking about fitness over here? Yes, we are. So, I got up early today morning, and I know I can get up earlier still in the coming days. But the fact that I got started with meditation is a big plus. I did the third-eye guided meditation which I find quite effective. I say instances when I could feel the physical drag, but then I meditate, and things improve. When something we do improves our physical self, it ought to leave no doubt whatsoever. I know meditation works for sure.

Also, since I had the time, I got on with my physical regime, too—such a fulfilling experience. So, I got my trusted dumbells and worked out few triplets. What are triplets? These are exercises for different body parts, which I combine into one set without taking breaks. That’s what it is.

Here is my triplet for the day:

  1. Pushups
  2. Crunches and Back with weights
  3. Biceps with weights

I plan to increase the reps in each as much as the overall reps tomorrow. Let’s see how it goes. I am missing my Fitbit, which I misplaced before the lockdown. I hope to find it or get a new one. Fitbit helps to give an idea of how much I have done in a day. That really helps.

Mahmoud Mohamed Ayoub of Egypt holds the record for the one-hand pushups with claps. So, the exercise is about doing a one-hand pushup and using the momentum to throw your body up and using the time to clap, and then getting back to balancing the body with one hand as you fall back on the floor.

Ayoub achieved 37 such pushups in one minute. That’s pretty neat if you ask me. I am sure Bruce Lee would be proud of him. 😊
