Manchester city versus Chelsea (Preview)

The long awaited game between pep and lampard will be played this weekend and so many people are already geared up for the match. A week without the premiership action for me has been dull, so it's therefore proper for me to do a quick brief of both teams.

Manchester city

Manchester city started the season on a top notch form winning the community shield by defeating Liverpool 2-1. They carried that form into the new season but along the way that form has withered with so many teams causing upsets. Teams like Norwich and wolves have defeated them in their quest to retain their tittle but they have usually bounced back beautifully well. Their last game before the international break ended on a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool who is a direct rival for the tittle. Let's see if they could bounce back from this also.

Going into this match, Manchester city has a lot of defensive crises to contend with and this has been part of the reason why they haven't really performed well. Their number 1 shot stopper Ederson is still a doubt to feature having missed the game against Liverpool and also their number one central back Laporte is still down and out with an injury too. Stones is a doubt for this game also and Bernardo silva will sit this one out also as part of his punishment for racially abusing mendy his team mate.

Chelsea football club

Chelsea didn't have a positive preseason but it didn't really make much of a difference when they battled Liverpool for the super cup. Although they lost but their football intention was clear. Attacking football intent was all was on full display for the Chelsea side. Fast forward to starting the premiership season, they didn't fare well and it was looking like the job to be Chelsea boss might have been too heavy for Lampard. Fast world to weeks later, lampard has gotten Chelsea grooving and with a sixth premiership win in a row now before the international break, its safe to say that the team is doing well. They even sit above mancity on the table.

Chelsea have had their own defensive crises also with the likes of starters like Rudigar and Christiansen sitting out of majority of the Chelsea game this season. This has led to the emergence of fikayo Tomori at the heart of Chelsea defense.
So far so good, lampard has done a great job with the likes of Tammy, pulisic, mount at his disposal and his faith in the young stars has made them strived better.

Prediction

With the current form of both clubs, both team sharing the spoils looks like. The best outcome for the match. On that note I predict the match to be
