Dani Alves has been called up to the Brazilian national team for the first time since 2019, where he also left European football in a switch to São Paulo.

At the age of 38, it may seem surprising to many that Dani Alves is making a comeback on the national team. However, Brazil's national coach Tite has chosen to select him for the next two World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay next month.

Dani Alves is in a good period and has a great history with the national team. There is no time for recovery in the qualifiers and he tops his physical form. He is also a great leader and that is really good for the team, says Tite.

Dani Alves has played 118 international matches for Brazil, where it has also turned into eight goals. In addition, he was captain of the national team when they won the Copa América at home in 2019.
