Boris Johnson snubbed one of Manchester's best offering-Risks the wrath of the Mancurians

Boris Johnson who is attending a conservative party conference in Manchester found himself positioned near a stack of Ribena.

He was asked if he preferred Ribena to Vimto, a drink invented in Manchester by John Noel Nichols.

This drink is made from grape juice, raspberry and other herbs and spices.

when Boris Johnson was asked which he preferred between Ribena and Vimto, he said he was nourished by Ribena and can not deny that fact.

Without fear of favour, he said he was not going to make it up on the spot just to suit whatever Manchester's Vimto agenda is.

This has led to more people making jest of the Vimto drink.
