June 26, 20: Mowing/Yard Work, Stripping Wire, Xbox, and Games

Got up just before six today. Did the usual morning routine and was happy to find that the STEEM/HIVE ratio has gone up enough that the sale order I put in several days ago finally went through! 🥳

Boosted me up over 29,000 HP now! 😁 That was pretty much the end of it, though. Still have like 75 left that will take the next four weeks to power down, but then it’s just the occasional trickle from ActiFit posts.

Ive still got a couple of powerdowns worth held up in Bitcoin, but I’m going to hang on to those and try to continue to be patient. Would like to see BTC nearer to $15k before I sell them out. My goal is to hit 32,000 HP (which would be a doubling from the fork). I think it’s still within the realm of possibility even though I took some pretty low trades down at .77.

Not totally sure what my deal was today, just didn’t feel like going out at all. I know that’s when I should go, but I decided to take the “day off” and do yard work instead...unfortunately that means no maps or pics or anything interesting. 😢

Did some weeding and cleaned up some of the weeds that I’d left out front. Then, since the neighbors mowed their lawn yesterday, even though mine wasn’t bad, it still looked like hell, so I mowed all the front.

It was mainly the weeds that looked bad, the grass hadn’t gotten all that long yet, but it took me at least three loads full anyway.

After I was satisfied that the yard looked good, I set in to stripping some more wire...never ending story that one! I got a couple more significantly sized pieces done start to finish and worked up a nice blister on my pinky finger (the others were already blistered like crazy).

I talked to my Dad the other day and I told him I was stripping all this wire. He asked me what I was I going to do with it, and I said I was going to melt it into bars.

Then he threw me for a loop and asked me what I was going going to do with the bars! That’s a damn good question! 🤔 Just stack them up and admire how shiny they are, I suppose! 😊 Trade them for eggs when the dollar goes into hyperinflation and the shit hits the fan, that’s the real plan.

I worked on wire until my hands had had it and then went to play a little Xbox. I found a role playing game, Torchlight, that I had downloaded a while back and forgot about, so started into that. Very similar to like Diablo or Van Helsing.

After Wenche finished with work she made us steaks and smushed potatoes for dinner and then I fell asleep watching TV, as usual.

Well, no robbery today, but the taxes are still insane. Thinking I need the military building to get a piece of that war tax action.

I got all my Holybread tasks done. 😃

Fallen back into the seventies for real now. I still can’t seem to beat anyone in front of me. Saving up for some potions, hopefully they’ll help.

I continue to struggle with whether it’s worth the time playing this game, but I’m keeping faith for now.

For my Splinterlands quest today I had Water splinter. Didn’t take me too long, and I got a nice little win streak there.

I bought some more DEC with the intention of paying guild dues, but I’m still hesitant. While I want to be selfless and contribute to the group, I don’t really know what benefit it is to me...

Broke up into Champion III! 🏆
