June 25, 20: AutomaticWin, DoubleDay, Stripping Wire, and Games

Slept in until six thirty today with only twenty minutes short. Not been doing to bad, though, I kept very busy throughout the whole afternoon.

Did the usual morning stuff. Bitcoin still trading sideways on low volumes...snooze! I got a little impatient with the STEEM/HIVE ratio, so I sold a third of what I have left. Spent some time shifting tokens around and staking for myself as well as solairitas.

Headed out with plenty of time to score the #AutomaticWin; had it by nine o’clock, in fact! 😁👍

Pretty comfortable for walking! 🤗 There was a bit of a breeze, and a little cool still for my tastes, but it was fantastic to be out.

If only we could crank up the temperature maybe fifteen degrees and then just hit pause, that’d be great, mkay?

As I headed out the door I caught this nifty dragonfly:

Walked down past both sides of the lake...I returned the movies we borrowed from the library and paid the water bill, so that kind of dictated the route that I initially took.

Actually was able to get lost in thought. I was thinking about my omnipotence proof for a while, and I realized that I really don’t have the power to destroy myself... I can cause my life to cease, but it’s ultimately something else that does it; impact, Fire, what have you.

The only thing I could cone up with would be to like use your nails to rip your jugular (yeah, pretty wild/morbid thought path). This led me to thinking about what it means to be destroyed (if that’s even possible)...and then to thinking about how we’re just a really complicated thing that dirt does...

Then I got off on a tangent thinking about what it means to be alive and trying to figure out what makes trees alive...I mean, if it’s all passive chemical activity driven by sunlight and temperature, why would it stop?

Anyway, not much happening at the lake. 😜

The baby geese don’t look anything like babies anymore.

Although I did turn the Xbox on and play for a little while, it wasn’t even a half hour, so it doesn’t really count.

I spent the afternoon out putzing in the garage. I got several more very large pieces of wire stripped down from start to finish. I even did one of the sucky pieces that I’ve been procrastinating on because the rubber insulator is stuck to the conductor and so I have to scrape it all off.

Fitbit counted it as exercise and I got a bunch of active minutes, so that put me well over the #DoubleDay! 🏆🥳

In the evening Wenche made omelette for dinner, I played my Splinterlands quest, and then went off to snoozeland.

Well, my dCity didn’t get robbed today, but I got absolutely robbed anyway. Taxes are a completely insane 51%! 🤬 I suppose 40 SIM is better than nothing.

I got all my Holybread tasks done today, just barely by the skin of my teeth.

Fallen back into the seventies as I expected. Despite explicitly asking several times over on Discord, for some reason they didn’t want to give me a straight answer as to what the potions actually do now. As they are exorbitant and I have no idea what “increase team sting” means, I am hesitant to spend on them and so will probably continue to fall in the ranks.

My Splinterlands quest was Water splinter today. Definitely an annoying day, as I came basically as close to Champion as possible without getting it and then losing to a point not even close. 😡

There’s still three days left in the season, so rather than push my frustration, I just finished the quest in Diamond I with a potion.

Still somewhat annoyed by the new tribute I’m supposed to pay to neoxian. The season is ending, so I have to decide whether it’s worth it to stay in the guild or say screw it.
