Aug. 2, 20: Grocery Shopping, Walking, Dinner and a Movie, and Games

Up shortly past six today, but only about twenty minutes short. Should have figured that a three day streak was too much to ask for. 😛

Did the usual morning routine, hit the faucets, Discord, curation...then I checked the crypto markets. Wooo doggy! We had a wicked flash crash in both the Bitcoin and Ethereum price!!!

Bitcoin just broke above twelve thousand and then got slammed below eleven thousand. Something like 70,000 traders got completely rekt and like $160 million worth of Kong’s got liquidated in a matter of minutes, literally less than ten minutes!

Of course, whenever we sharp and unexpected moves, everyone cries “manipulation.” But that certainly seemed like a coordinated attack on multiple crypto across multiple leverage exchanges...so, uh, probably manipulated. 😜

It started raining yesterday afternoon and it didn’t let up this morning. It was pouring like crazy out, so we didn’t go for our usual Sunday #AutomaticWin. 😢

Instead, I did my post and mucked about for a while and then we went into town and did our weekly grocery shopping.

After we got back, got stuff put away, and relaxed for a little while, the rain had sort of stopped, so we went over to mom’s house and picked up Lady and went for a short walk that turned into quite a long walk! 😁

Despite being later in the afternoon, it hadn’t really warmed up much, and the wind didn’t help much either.

No sunshine for you! Except above the clouds, it’s sunny up there for sure. Down here where we were at, we got rained on instead. Gotta’ earn a few hardcoreness points for that one! 🏆

Did a loop down by the lake. Quite a few serious fishing boats there even though it wasn’t necessarily the best day to be out...looked like they’d caught some good sized Bass, maybe had a little competition going or something, I’m not sure.

We pretty much stayed to the sidewalk, so Dude was on the leash the entire time. Lady listens and doesn’t run off too far, so she got to be off.

Didn’t take many pics, I actually started trying to think about my game again (which was my original purpose for joining this blockchain). I’m still stuck on a key mechanic...I think part of my problem is that I underestimate the current computing power we have available.

We headed down to the local store and rented a movie and then took Lady back home. By then it was getting on dinner time, and Wenche made SUPER yummy steaks 🥩 and potatoes 🥔 for dinner. The meat was really expensive, so it better have been good, but it was so tender it didn’t even need a knife!

After dinner we watched the movie we got: Scoob! It was pretty fun, one and a half eyes open. It had a lot of throwbacks to the original for sone nice nestalgia (nastalgia? fricking autocorrect won’t help me here 😭), and a couple chuckles. Otherwise, a reasonably entertaining family flick. 😃

Ended up watching Les Misrables for the rest of the evening, staying up waaaay past my bedtime. Got a feeling I’ll pay for it coming up here.

Yay! No crime today in my dCity! I have a slight unemployment problem again, but I think gerber has designed the game so that it’s basically always out of balance and either requires the purchase of a building for population or to put them to work...still, got my doubled WEED income for the first time! 🥳🤑

Still cruising in Holybread too. Got all my tasks done for the day.

Been bouncing in and out of the top twenty, but today I landed in. 😃

I got Death splinter for my Splinterlands quest today, but I wasn’t feeling it and so switched up and got Life instead. Not too bad, got on a nice little win streak. 👍
