El Clasico should be the Ultimate League Decider

Less than two weeks from today, Barcelona would be hosting Real Madrid at the Camp Nou for the first El Clasico duel of the season.

We all are aware of the vibes this encounter carries and the night of 18th December would be no different. This was a match that was supposed to be a thing of the past but due to unrest as a result of political indifferences at the Catalyuna, the match was forced to be postponed.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have two more matches to play in the league before they come up against each other. Barcelona would be going up against Real Mallorca this weekend, Real Sociedad next weekend before the midweek clash with Real Madrid. Los Blancos on the other hand would be going up against Espanyol this weekend and Valencia the next. Both teams have tough weekend games before they play each other and there is no doubt that weekend will play a vital part on the outcome of the midweek clash.

Currently, both Barcelona and Real Madrid sit first and second position respectively in the league table with the same points. Both teams would definitely be hoping not to drop any points prior to their clash as a drop of point would prove to be demoralizing heading to the El Clasico.

Both teams have endured a rollercoaster ride to this current season but seem to be finding their feet again lately. There is no doubt the El Clasico clash would show the world which team is well fired up to lift the title as it will be a battle of mind, soul and spirit. I can’t wait for 18th!
